Happy Women’s Day to all the strong, intelligent, and talented women out there. International women’s day continues to draw attention to the importance of women around the world. March 8th is a day of reflection and celebration based on core values we at TADV believe in like Respect, Hope, Justice, and Equality. The number 8, the day we celebrate this day, also has a meaning of a new beginning, harmony, balance, and peace. We at TADV strive not only today on International Women’s Day, but every day to bring awareness to help stop and prevent teen dating violence.

This weeks guest on Bridging The Gap Radio is Mr. Michael Galvan - Founder, United Counseling Center-UCC & Teens Against Dating Violence. For the last 18 years Mr. Galvan has worked for United Counseling Center facilitating group sessions for men and women perpetrators. United Counseling Center is one of three Licensed CJAD Facilities that provide educational services to the Bexar County Community Supervision and The Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division.
Within the last 4 years he has studied and evaluated hundreds of individuals to determine the need for a Teen Prevention Program which was established as Teens Against Dating Violence on September 28, 2020, to facilitate ages 13-18, who are in a violent dating relationship and has also committed to establishing a college dating violence program called Breaking the Cycle(BTC) to accommodate ages 18-24.
