Africa Renewal Ministries

Africa Renewal Ministries This was exactly two years after Gaba Community Church had been planted in this little fishing village.

Africa Renewal is a non-profit organization committed to renewing Africa through the gospel of Jesus Christ and the local church, by embracing children, equipping leaders and empowering communities. Africa Renewal Ministries (ARM) was founded in 1990 by Pastor Peter Kasirivu with a team of three other young men Gerald Seruwagi (RIP) John Paul and Charles Mugisha. Our story began when Pastor Peter

Kasirivu accepted a call to plant a church in a little village called Gaba found on the shores of Lake Victoria. The community then was a typical landing site with a lot of poverty-stricken families and many other vices like witchcraft and promiscuity. Many children were not going to school and his heart was broken for this Village. There was little hope for transformation in a completely unschooled society that depended on the lake (fishing) to earn a living. There was no hope for the children and mothers of this area, and their belief was in small gods. It had to take God and Him alone to rescue and restore this land through Gaba Community Church the mother and home of Africa Renewal Ministries.

What began many years ago as a God-given dream of expansion is now becoming a beautiful reality at Wentz Medical Center.

I recently had the privilege of visiting the facility, and I am incredibly grateful for how far we have come. In just over a year since construction began, we are now at the finishing line of what will be one of Uganda’s most modern healthcare facilities.

This state-of-the-art hospital will provide quality healthcare and bring healing, hope, and dignity to thousands of people across Uganda and the East and Central African region. We see a future where families can access quality medical care, mothers can safely welcome their children into the world, and thousands of people can receive the treatment and care they need.

A special thank you to Dr. Martin and the entire team for leading the fundraising and construction efforts. To our partners and friends around the world, thank you for standing with us.

While construction is almost complete, there is still another important step ahead—equipping this facility so it can fully serve the people of Uganda and the region.

The walls may be nearly complete, but the real story is only beginning.

We can’t wait to see what God is about to do through Wentz Medical Center!

“Dear Sponsor…”

Sometimes, a few words hold an entire story.

Today, those words are making their way from campus to the people who chose to support the journey.

Water changes everything💧

For communities without access to clean water, a new or repaired borehole brings health, dignity, and hope.

And as we serve communities in this practical way, we also have the opportunity to share the hope of Jesus.

Clean water. Open hearts. Lives renewed.

For Pastor Patrick, every new day is an opportunity to serve, disciple, and bring hope.

As a refugee pastor with Africa Renewal Ministries, he walks alongside displaced families, sharing the Gospel, discipling believers, strengthening communities, and helping people find hope in Christ.

Today, we honor Pastor Patrick and the many humanitarian workers, volunteers, partners, and churches who serve vulnerable communities through discipleship, education, community support, and practical care.

On World Humanitarian Day, we thank everyone who continues to serve with compassion, faith, and commitment.

Together, we serve. Together, we disciple. Together, we bring hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

At Africa Renewal University, education is more than earning a degree. It is about restoring hope, recognizing potential, and developing Christ like leaders who renew society.

Ninety percent of Africa Renewal University's current students cannot pay their full fees. On average, each student pays $250 a semester toward a bill of $1,000.
