This week, Haven for Hope hosted their first Leading with Hope Breakfast series event at Launch SA.

The Leading with Hope Breakfast Series brings together community leaders, partners, and supporters to learn more about homelessness in San Antonio, hear about the work happening at Haven for Hope, and explore ways we can create lasting impact together. This month's speaker was our President & CEO, Rhonda Mundhenk.

We will be hosting another breakfast series sometime in August, featuring our Vice President of Programs, David Huete.

Want to attend the next breakfast series? Email our Development Team at [email protected]

Special thanks to Las Palapas for donating the delicious tacos and to Launch SA for hosting!

We tried to hold his Knicks fandom against him… but honestly, we just can’t!

Last week, Haven for Hope welcomed to campus while he was in town for the Spurs vs. Knicks NBA Finals game right here in San Antonio. Yes, he may bleed blue and orange, but he scored major points with us by spending time with our clients and families.

During his visit, Billy talked basketball, shared encouragement, connected with families, and reminded our young clients to keep chasing their dreams.

This wasn’t his first time at Haven either. Billy visited campus last year to learn more about our mission and the work happening here every day. He’s also starred in films including No Address (2025), a powerful drama that shines a light on homelessness and mental health in America.

Thanks, Billy, for showing up for our community with heart, encouragement, and a little East Coast energy we’ll forgive this time. 😉
