We had the privilege of taking two women to get their Social Security cards, helping them take another important step toward rebuilding and moving forward. These moments may seem simple, but having the right documents in place opens doors to opportunities, stability, and independence.

Every step matters in the recovery journey, and we’re grateful to be part of these victories along the way.
Watching progress happen one milestone at a time is what it’s all about.

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY 🌟
Irene Kelly

She started using drugs at 12 years old.
Not because she was reckless. Because it was all she had ever seen. Her home was filled with chaos, arguments, and addiction from the very beginning. When she lost her adoptive parent, the pain became unbearable and the only way she knew to survive it was the only thing she had ever watched the people around her do.

The years that followed took everything addiction promises to take. Her relationships. Her family. Her sense of self. There were seasons of homelessness, sleeping on the streets with nowhere to go. Trauma that no one should ever have to carry. Moments so dark she couldn’t see a way through.
Addiction had convinced her this was all her life would ever be.
But God had another plan.

At 38 years old, Irene stopped fighting a battle she could never win alone. She surrendered. She picked up her Bible. She began to pray. And what started as a desperate act of surrender became the foundation of an entirely new life.

Three months ago, she walked through the doors of Mastermind Recovery. Since then, she has found stability, healing, and hope she didn’t know was still waiting for her. She is rebuilding her relationships especially with her children. She is becoming the woman God created her to be, not the woman addiction told her she was.

Today, Irene is 17 months sober from opioids and 3 months sober from ma*****na. 🙌
She is a better mother. A better sister. A better friend. A better daughter.
Her story is living proof that your past does not get the final word.

We are so proud of you, Irene. Your best chapters are still ahead. 💚
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.”

— 2 Corinthians 5:17

So proud of Sarah for finishing her ID recovery! 🙌🏽✨ This marked a powerful milestone because with the help of Mastermind Recovery, we stayed with her every step of the way to obtain all the necessary documents she needs to move forward with confidence toward employment.

At Mastermind Recovery, this is what it’s all about: restoring dignity, reducing barriers, and connecting people to the resources and support they deserve. When someone’s documents are in order, their opportunities open up and their future begins to look brighter. Sarah, we’re celebrating you today and cheering you on as you take your next step toward stability, independence, and purpose.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the work through your time, prayers, and giving. Your generosity helps make real progress possible. “Let us not grow weary in doing good… for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) 🙏🏽

🌟 TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY 🌟

By third grade, he was experimenting with drugs.
By 14, addicted to ecstasy.
By 17, methamphetamine and opiates had taken hold.
What followed was 23 years and 7 months behind bars. Divorce. Homelessness. PTSD. Deteriorating health. And on Christmas morning robbed of everything he had left.

He tried to quit more times than he can count. Addiction always pulled him back.
Then at 53 years old broken, living on the streets, with nowhere left to turn he made a decision that changed everything.
He stopped. For good.

Raised in a Christian home, he had always known Jesus. But addiction had taken him far from that foundation. When he finally surrendered, his relationship with Christ didn’t just return it became stronger than it had ever been. Today, he walks Spirit-led, on fire for the Lord, and full of a purpose he never thought possible.

After just over a month at Mastermind Recovery, he says he finally found a place he can call home. “It took me 54 years to find my home, but I finally found it. I thank the Lord every day for bringing me to Mastermind Recovery.”

He wants the world to see his story not to boast, but to show you what’s possible. He wants you to see where he came from, what he survived, and who he is now filled with the Holy Spirit, covered in God’s grace, completely transformed. Because if God can do this for him, He can do it for you too.

Today he celebrates 5 months and 9 days of sobriety.
Drop a 💚 to celebrate him. Share this for someone who needs to see it today.

Your past does not determine your future.
Recovery is possible. Redemption is real.

What does real recovery look like? It looks like this. 👇

George just secured his food stamps and for anyone who’s walked this road, you know that’s not a small thing. That’s stability. That’s dignity. That’s one less barrier standing between him and the life he’s rebuilding.

At Mastermind Recovery, we believe sobriety is just the beginning. True recovery means rebuilding every part of a life, housing, food, support, community. We walk alongside people through all of it.

George’s story is proof that with the right support system, real change is possible. We’re honored to be part of his journey. 💚
If you or someone you love needs support, we’re here.

🌊💚 Recovery is about so much more than what you leave behind. It’s about the life you gain.

This weekend, the women of Mastermind Recovery stepped away from their daily routines and spent time together building memories, strengthening friendships, and celebrating how far they’ve come.

For many of these women, there was a season when peace felt impossible, joy felt distant, and moments like this seemed completely out of reach. But through faith, community, and the commitment to recovery, their stories are being rewritten.

What happened at the beach wasn’t just a getaway.

It was laughter without fear.
It was friendship without conditions.
It was freedom without substances.
It was women discovering that healing can be joyful.

At Mastermind Recovery, we believe recovery is about more than sobriety. It’s about rebuilding lives, restoring families, creating healthy relationships, and learning how to enjoy life again.

To the women who continue showing up, doing the work, and supporting one another, we are so proud of you. And to everyone who supports this mission, thank you for helping make moments like these possible.

Because this is what restoration looks like. 💚

✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY: SIERRA’S STORY ✨

Meet Sierra Ponce. 💚

Not long ago, Sierra arrived broken, exhausted, and fighting for her life.

The first photo was taken at 0 days sober. Years of alcohol abuse had taken a devastating toll. Her liver was damaged. She was physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually depleted. Hope felt distant, and addiction had convinced her that freedom wasn’t possible.

Then Sierra made one of the hardest decisions a mother can make.

She left her daughter, Nova, for 45 days to enter treatment—the longest they had ever been apart. She knew addiction had already stolen enough from her life, and she was determined not to let it take anything else.

Her recovery journey started with two friends who loved her enough to intervene. They invited her for coffee, and when she arrived intoxicated, they chose compassion over judgment. One phone call later, a treatment bed was waiting.

Terrified and shaking from withdrawal, Sierra said yes.

That one decision changed everything.

The road wasn’t easy. She endured detox, alcohol withdrawal psychosis, hospitalization, and some of the hardest days of her life. But she kept going.

Along the way, she found something she had been missing for years: community.

She found people who believed in her future, supported her healing, and reminded her that her story wasn’t over.

Today, Sierra is building a brand-new life. She has a job she loves, a sponsor guiding her recovery, a supportive community at Mastermind Recovery, and a safe home where both she and Nova are welcomed and loved.

Most importantly, she has hope.

This is what recovery looks like.
Not perfection.
Not an overnight miracle.
But one courageous decision followed by another.

Lives are being restored.
Families are being reunited.
Generations are being changed.

If you’re struggling today, know this: recovery is possible.

GRACE OUTREACH #22 💚

The Mastermind Recovery family hit the streets once again for our 22nd Grace Outreach.

We served 200 meals, handed out resources, shared the love of Jesus, prayed with people, listened to their stories, and reminded them that they are seen, valued, and loved by God.

Some people see homelessness. We see sons and daughters of the King.

Some people see addiction. We see future testimonies.

Some people see hopelessness. We see lives that God is not finished with yet.

Every conversation matters. Every prayer matters. Every meal matters. Every act of kindness matters.

Today wasn't just about feeding people. It was about meeting people where they are and letting them know there is a way forward. There is hope. There is healing. There is freedom. Through God's grace, we were able to connect individuals with resources, treatment options, and people willing to walk alongside them on their journey.

This is why we do what we do.

Not for recognition.
Not for applause.
But because Jesus went after the one.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, supporter, and prayer warrior who helps make these outreaches possible. Your generosity is changing lives one person, one prayer, and one encounter at a time.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor..." — Luke 4:18

✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY: KELVIN ✨

Addiction does not discriminate and Kelvin’s story is proof of that.

He grew up in a stable home, raised by loving parents and surrounded by church. But at just 12 years old, the desire to fit in led him to ci******es, then alcohol at 13, and eventually a decades long battle with addiction.

For over 30 years, addiction affected every part of his life.
Relationships were broken.
His marriage ended.
He went to prison.
He became distant from his children.
And mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, he reached a place where he felt completely lost.

During his last binge nearly two years ago, Kelvin said he truly believed he was losing his mind. That moment terrified him enough to finally surrender and say:
“I do not want to go out like that.”

Today, at 58 years old, Kelvin is living in the longest season of sobriety he has ever experienced.

16 months sober.
16 months rebuilding.
16 months walking with God.

Since coming to Mastermind Recovery, Kelvin has restored relationships with his children, maintained steady employment, built savings, plugged into AA, and most importantly developed a real personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

One of the most powerful things he shared was simple:
“God is real.”

Not because someone told him.
Because he experienced Him personally.

And today, Kelvin is not only recovering, he’s helping lead other men toward freedom as a director at Mastermind Recovery.

This is what transformation looks like.
Not perfection.
Not pretending the past never happened.
But a life surrendered and rebuilt one day at a time.

If you’re struggling today, Kelvin’s message is for you:
“Don’t give up on yourself. Take a chance on yourself today. It’s never too late.”

Saturday nights look a little different around here… and that’s the beauty of it.💚

Our Moms laced up skates, held little hands, and made memories that many of them once thought they’d never get back. Watching these women laugh, encourage their children, and simply be present is nothing short of powerful. This is what restoration looks like in real life, not perfect, not polished, but full of joy, healing, and second chances.

Every lap around that rink was more than just fun… it was freedom.
Freedom from the past.
Freedom to be the moms their children deserve.
Freedom to build new traditions rooted in love and stability.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Families are being restored. Generations are being changed. And hope is alive and moving in every smile you see here.

Thank you to everyone who supports this mission. You are a part of these moments. 🫶
