Kids with Grit Professional Development brings hands-on learning to life with engaging professional development designed for educators, schools, and districts.

Our interactive training helps educators connect real-world skills with classroom learning through:
• Tool Education Pathways
• Design Process
• Math That Builds
• Career & College Pathways, including skilled trades, STEM, design, engineering, entrepreneurship, and other career opportunities
• Confidence Is Built — experiential strategies for Special Education and behavioral support, developed and led by a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.

Training is practical, hands-on, and designed to give educators strategies they can take directly back to their students.

On-site and virtual options are available.

Organizational attendance is unlimited, with hands-on materials included for up to 10 educators. Additional participant materials are available for an added cost.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn by building.

Math is more than finding an answer on a page. It helps people measure a room, cut a board, estimate materials, design a product, construct a building, install a pipe, create a blueprint and solve problems that do not always have one obvious answer.

When students measure, design and build, they experience mathematics as something they can use.

That is Math That Builds.

Today, Girl with Grit spent time developing our school-based program “Kids with Grit” with the incredible Charles Hernandez of Jewel C Weitzel and the inspiring Lionel Sosa Lionel Sosa.

To sit alongside Lionel Sosa comes with great privilege as Sosa was named one of the twenty five most influential Hispanics in America by Time Magazine. Sosa has also been named to the Texas Business Hall of fame and founded the largest Hispanic advertising agency in the United States and served under both Bush and Reagan. He currently serves Ron Nirenberg.

Thank you Dr. Maria Ferrier, previous President of Texas A&M - San Antonio for arranging this meeting of minds. Thank you to Najim Charitable Foundation for connecting the dots. We are all working to improve the quality of lives of children caught in systemic poverty through the school system.
