Christian Assistance Ministry Helping those in need since 1977!

CAM provides food, clothing, utility assistance, prescription medication assistance, identification recovery (ID's and birth certificates), sack lunches for the homeless, a free mail box, and referrals. This work is done through donations of food and clothing, volunteers (over 200 to keep the operation going) and financial contributions.

CAM's Emergency Christmas Store is right around the corner and we're gearing up for another successful year of helping children and families in need during Christmas! If you're interested in volunteering during CAM's Christmas Store, and/or you'd like to purchase new toys and gifts for our kiddos in need, visit our website (cam-sa.org) to access our sign-up sheets. CAM's Annual Feast-to-Feed Gala last Thursday was a beautiful testament to so many who support our mission in this wonderful city. A sold out show called for so much love in one room, so much compassion and inspiration. We can't thank you all enough for supporting CAM during our biggest 'friendraiser' of the year!

It's more than a piece of plastic. Imagine trying to get a job without an ID. Open a bank account. Apply for benefits. Fill a prescription. Access housing. For someone experiencing homelessness, losing an ID or birth certificate can become yet another barrier between crisis and stability. That's why helping individuals obtain identification documents is such an important part of CAM's work. Sometimes, the first step toward rebuilding a life is simply having the document that allows you to take the next one.
