Siemering Lodge Unites for Cemetery Clean-Up and Holiday Tribute
Siemering Lodge continues its commitment to preserving local history and honoring those who came before us through the ongoing maintenance of the historic Hermann Sons Cemetery. This sacred ground, resting place to generations of members and veterans alike, remains a vital part of our shared heritage.
This December, the Daughters of the American Revolution will once again place wreaths at the veteransβ graves as part of their annual holiday tribute, a moving gesture of remembrance and gratitude. To ensure the cemetery is looking its best for this special occasion, all Hermann Sons Lodges are asked to come together for a final clean-up day on Saturday, December 6th.
Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8:00 a.m. to assist with mowing, trimming, leaf clearing, and general upkeep. Many hands make light work, and together we can show that the Hermann Sons community takes pride in caring for the places that preserve our history and values.
Please bring gloves, small tools, and your spirit of fellowship as we prepare the grounds for the holiday wreath-laying. Every contribution (large or small) helps us honor our veterans and maintain the dignity of this historic site.
