SAN ANTONIO HAWKEYES — IMPORTANT MESSAGE‼️

What an incredible weekend in Iowa City! Caitlin Clark, College GameDay, and all the excitement surrounding the game made it such a memorable weekend. While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, the Hawkeye spirit was definitely felt! 🖤💛

Kelsi and I were unable to attend Saturday’s game watch, and we are very grateful to Rick and Lori Tarbell for hosting in our absence.

We did receive some feedback about interactions with the wait staff during Saturday’s game watch. We know there can be different perspectives in any situation, so rather than focus on the details, we want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the values that make our group special.

Kindness, respect, and “Iowa Nice” should always be at the heart of our game watches. Please remember that fighting, inappropriate language, discrimination, harassment, or disrespect of any kind has no place in our group.

The Anchor Bar has been our Official Game Watch Home for four years and has been incredibly supportive of the San Antonio Hawkeyes. They prioritize our game sound, reserve our regular center seating area for 75–100 people, provide gift cards for raffles, and even created Iowa-specific menu items for us last year. We truly value this relationship and appreciate everything they do for our group.

GAME DAY! 🙌 Can you believe College GameDay is heading to Iowa City for the first time in 20 years?! Iowa City is ready to show the nation what an awesome town it is as the No. 14 Iowa Hawkeyes host No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes this Saturday, October 3! 🏈
This annual ANF Black & Gold Spirit Day matchup is a big one, marking the first time since 2006 that Iowa and Ohio State will face off with both teams ranked in the top 15 of the AP Poll.
Join the San Antonio Hawkeyes at Anchor Bar at 2:30 PM to cheer on the Hawkeyes with fellow Iowa fans! Tables will be available beginning at 2:00 PM.
