This week at Ag Teachers Conference Mrs. Dunn-Couhig competed in the Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas Floral Design Cup. She competed against teachers from across the state in an hour long competition where everyone received similar products and the same theme. Mrs. Dunn has made it in the top 5 and results will be announced tomorrow, but for now, take a look at this gorgeous design!

This past weekend, some of our students traveled to College Station for the Aggieland Lamb/Goat Camp to expand on their knowledge and sharpen their skills with their sheep and goats. Through hands-on learning, valuable instruction, and time in the ring, they gained experience that will help them continue to grow as exhibitors.

A special congratulations to Paige Wilson for an outstanding accomplishmentโ€”earning 4th High Individual Senior Showmanship during Sunday's show! We are proud of Paige and all of our students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to improving their livestock projects.

โญ๐Ÿ’™ The Highest Honor in Texas FFA ๐Ÿ’™โญ

As we wrap up an unforgettable week at the 98th Texas FFA State Convention, weโ€™d like to recognize one of the greatest accomplishments a Texas FFA member can achieve.

The Texas FFA Lone Star Degree is the highest degree the Texas FFA Association can bestow upon its members. It recognizes years of dedication to FFA, outstanding leadership, meaningful Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects, community service, and commitment to agricultural education.

This year, we are proud to congratulate the following East Central FFA members on earning their Lone Star Degree:

โญ Members who received their degree in person:

Jake Anderson
Blayne Brietzke
Ian Fellers
Faith Martini
Irene Perryman
Savannah Ristow

โญ Members who earned their degree this year:

Jake Calvillo
Ava Esquivel
David Gonzales
Elise King
Mason Leibham
Ke'Orey Littles
Bailee Schievelbein

Congratulations to each of these members on reaching this incredible milestone. Your hard work and perseverance have earned you a place among the very best Texas FFA has to offer.

As we close out another amazing State Convention, weโ€™d also like to extend one final thank you to every family, business, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter who invested in our students throughout this trip and throughout the entire year. Whether you sponsored a meal, activity, T-shirt, scholarship event, donated supplies, volunteered your time, or simply encouraged our members along the way, you helped make these opportunities possible.

East Central FFA is successful because of a community that believes in its students. Thank you for helping us develop the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Hereโ€™s to another incredible year, and we canโ€™t wait to see what the future holds. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค
