Summer Growth Looks Different 💙

This summer, some of our teens are doing more than just staying busy, they're building a future.
We're so proud of those who stepped into the workforce, with opportunities at Trey JC Construction and Six Flags, learning responsibility, teamwork, and the value of hard work. Every early morning, every long shift, and every paycheck earned is helping shape character that will last a lifetime.
At Harper's Chapel Ministries, we've watched these young people grow through consistency, encouragement, love, and support. What once seemed impossible is becoming reality as confidence replaces doubt and purpose replaces hopelessness.
This is what happens when a community pours into its youth and when God begins changing lives from the inside out.

"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." – Galatians 6:9

Please keep cheering these amazing teens on. Their story is still being written, and God is doing something beautiful. 🙏❤️

🌞 Help Us Feed, Encourage, and Invest in Our Youth This Summer! 🌞

Harpers Chapel is excited to provide our Summer Camp Program completely FREE of charge to the children and youth in our community.

Throughout the summer, we serve approximately 30 children each camp day, providing meals, snacks, activities, mentorship, and exciting field trips that create lasting memories and valuable experiences.

For many families, the summer months can be one of the most difficult times when it comes to food insecurity. When school is out, many children lose access to regular meals. Our goal is to help fill that gap by ensuring every child who attends receives nutritious food, a safe environment, and opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun.

We are launching a fundraising campaign with a goal of $5,000 to help cover:
• Meals and snacks for our campers
• Field trip admission fees
• Fuel and transportation costs for our bus and van
• Summer activities and program supplies

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.

💛 $25 provides snacks for a camp day
💛 $50 helps feed several children
💛 $100 helps support transportation and field trips
💛 Any amount helps us continue offering this program at no cost to families

✨ A Heartfelt Thank You ✨
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Chance Stout and the team at QRSA for the incredible reconstruction and repair of our chapel's historic steeple.

A few months ago, a severe storm brought strong winds that damaged our beloved steeple. Having stood as a symbol of faith and hope since 1942, the steeple had become fragile with age, making the restoration a delicate and meaningful task.

Thanks to the care, craftsmanship, and dedication of Chance and the QRSA team, our steeple has been lovingly restored and now once again stands proudly atop the chapel, displaying all of its beauty for our congregation and community to enjoy.

Your commitment to preserving a piece of our church's history means more than words can express. Thank you for helping us protect and restore this cherished landmark for future generations.

As we wrap up the month of May, our hearts are full for all that God has done through Harper's Chapel Ministries!

🎡 We kicked off the month with a fun-filled trip to Cornyval in Helotes, Texas, where several of our youth enjoyed carnival rides, the rodeo, delicious food, and an evening filled with laughter, fellowship, and unforgettable memories.

🌟 Our students also enjoyed an exciting field trip to Kicking Bear, where they built friendships, created lasting memories, and experienced a day of fun and adventure together.

🎓 Our 3rd season of the After School Program came to a successful close, and we couldn't be prouder of the students, families, staff, and volunteers who made this year so impactful.

🎤 We celebrated 8th-grade promotions, including the honor of having our Senior Pastor serve as a guest speaker, encouraging students as they prepare for their next chapter.

🍽️ A special thank you to Powerhouse Gymnastics for providing dinner for our Friday Night Bible Study. Your generosity blessed our youth and leaders in a meaningful way.

🙌 We are especially proud of a few of our teens who stepped out in faith and leadership by helping lead their very first citywide Teen Summit through PAM Media Outreach! Watching our young people use their voices to inspire and impact others is exactly what ministry is all about.

Thank you to everyone who supports, serves, prays, and partners with us. May was busy, but it was also filled with growth, purpose, and countless blessings. We can't wait to see what God has in store for the summer program!
