Today was a beautiful reminder of what happens when the Body of Christ comes together to love, serve, and be the hands and feet of Jesus. ❤️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Northeast Bible Church, the young adults group, for serving alongside Harper’s Chapel Ministries today and helping us provide our houseless community with sack lunches, cold drinks, prayer, and most importantly, the love of Christ.

Partnerships like this help us continue fulfilling the vision God has given us:

It’s about so much more than handing someone a meal. It’s about seeing people, loving people, praying with people, and reminding them that they are not forgotten.

📖 YOUTH BIBLE STUDY TONIGHT!🙌

Youth ages 11–18 join us this evening at 6:00 PM for Youth Bible Study at Harper’s Chapel! ❤️

☀️ Due to the extreme heat, we will NOT have any outdoor activities tonight. Everything will remain indoors where it’s cool and safe.

Come ready for fellowship, encouragement, and time in God’s Word! We can’t wait to see our youth! 🙏🏽

✨ PREPARING FOR WHAT’S NEXT ✨

This month has looked a little different at Harper’s Chapel Ministries, but the ministry hasn’t stopped. ❤️

We’ve used this season to prepare for what’s ahead; supporting our community through Back-to-School events, continuing our Sunday worship services and Friday Youth Bible Study, taking some of our teens on a much-needed camping retreat, and getting everything ready for our Fall Programs. 🙌

Sometimes a change of pace gives us the opportunity to prepare, refocus, and make room for what God is getting ready to do next.

And we’re excited to say… we’ll be back to our regular youth programming next month! 🎉

We’re looking forward to welcoming our children and teens back, reconnecting with our families, and stepping into another season of loving, serving, mentoring, and sharing the hope of Christ with our community.

Please continue to keep Harper’s Chapel, our children, teens, families, volunteers, and the upcoming fall season in your prayers. We believe there is still so much ahead! ❤️

✨ Five Years of Faithful Presence ✨

We are incredibly grateful and humbled to have Harpers Chapel Ministries and the work God is doing on San Antonio’s West Side featured in The Beacon. ❤️

For the past five years, we have simply tried to say “yes” to God, yes to serving, yes to loving our neighbors, yes to showing up, and yes to being His hands and feet in our community.

Every child loved, every family served, every meal shared, every partnership formed, and every life touched is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, not ours. We could never do this work alone, and we are so thankful for every volunteer, donor, partner, church, organization, and friend who has come alongside us.

🏕️ A Weekend to Disconnect, Recharge & Make Core Memories ❤️

What a special weekend for a group of our teens! We are so grateful to St Luke Baptist Church for the invitation and for giving us the opportunity to take our teens on a much-needed camping retreat, a chance to step away from the noise of everyday life, disconnect from the world for a little while, enjoy God’s beautiful creation, and simply be kids. 🌲🙏🏽

A very special shout-out to April Ancira Thompson, Packard Law Firm, and Kris Robinson for making sure our kids had EVERYTHING they needed to make this weekend a success! From bedding and pillows to hygiene packs, snacks, treats, and so many other essentials, you made sure our teens were comfortable, cared for, and prepared. ❤️

It truly takes a village to pour into our young people, and we are incredibly thankful for those who continue to step up and help us create experiences they may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy.

Most of all, we give God all the glory for opening doors, providing every need, and surrounding our teens with people who love and invest in them. These moments and memories matter more than we know. 🙌🏽

👟❤️ What a blessing it is when God brings His people together for a purpose!

We are so thankful for Somebody Cares/BloodnFire Ministries San Antonio and Journey Church San Antoniofor partnering with Harper’s Chapel Ministries to make the annual Share Your Sole event such a success!

Together, we were able to bless so many children with brand-new shoes as they head back to school. We give God all the glory for bringing us together with one heart; to love, serve, and bless our community. 🙌❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special day possible. We are better together!
