We made it through. It poured rain and people still showed up, sat through it, and listened.

Huge thank you to Mayor Jones for opening the day, to Marcos Resendez for carrying it as MC, and to every speaker who got on stage: Timothy Lefkowitz, Suhail Arastu, Michael Espinoza, Tanya Sammis, Uziel Hernandez Aguila, Geoffrey Urbach, and Roman Sandoval.

Texas Venture Fest San Antonio, year four. Thank you, San Antonio.

We’ve been so busy living it that we forgot to post about it. So here’s our catchup.

On August 14, we gathered. A room full of nonprofit leaders, fundraisers, community builders, and everyday changemakers right here in San Antonio, all connected to a global movement happening across 80 cities on the same day.

The theme was What’s Possible.

And honestly? That question hit differently when you’re actually in the room with people who are asking it too. Connections that didn’t need a long explanation because everyone in that room already understood the work. Partnerships that started with a handshake and a “we should really talk.”

That’s what happens when the right people are finally in the same room.

We’re so grateful to We Are For Good and Givebutter for creating the conditions for this kind of gathering, and for trusting us to host it here. San Antonio has so much to offer. So many people doing quiet, meaningful work. We’re stronger when we do it together, out loud, and connected to something bigger.

As always more to come. And a huge shout out to Make Ready Food Hall for hosting us for open arms!!! Please check them out, we are making this our go to space. 🎉

Monday in Austin with the Texas Economic Development Corporation TxEDC.

We talked about San Antonio. What the market looks like right now, which international companies are paying attention to it, and how our International Soft Landing Program helps them through their first 12 months here.

We also got honest about what is working and what is not. Landing a company in a new market takes more than an introduction. It takes operational follow-through, funding that holds, and local partners who stay in the room after the first meeting. We spent the time on solutions, not just the list of problems.

TxEDC markets Texas. We work company by company on what happens after the decision to expand.

Thank you to Aaron, Dr. Valerie Segovia, and Dale Robertson.

San Antonio is going to Ireland this October. 🇮🇪

We are putting together a small group of San Antonio companies to represent our city at the Futura Innovation Conference in Limerick, October 19 to 22. Three companies are already in. We have room for about six more.

Why go together? Futura brings 1,500+ people from 15+ countries into one walkable city, across seven industry tracks. Founders, investors, government, and researchers in the same rooms. Going as a recognized city group opens doors that are hard to reach on your own.

One delegation fee covers everything, including the group event rate. No piecing it together yourself.

If your work touches MedTech, technology, AgTech, enterprise, aerospace, logistics, or creative industries, there is a lane for you in Limerick.

This is mutual collaboration for our growing community. We carry the San Antonio name together.

Interested? Link in bio. Two minutes, and it commits you to nothing.

San Antonio moved fast this week.

Meetings with small business owners talking through staffing, growth, sustainability, and operations. The real conversations people usually keep behind closed doors.

We attended AIM 2026 Health R&D Summit with VelocityTX and pitched ABOV3. Needed conversations around health, innovation, and what’s next.

Started building a partnership with and left with bigger ideas than we walked in with. The best meetings usually do that.

Spent the evening at the REC () with Impact Guild () and the Climate Ready Neighborhoods Network talking about resilience, neighborhoods, and what collaboration actually looks like in this city. Also, if you haven’t visited the REC yet, go.

And in between all of it, we kept working with Abena, our fellow visiting from Papua New Guinea. Showing someone San Antonio through your own eyes changes the way you see the city too.

Partnerships matter now more than ever. Shared resources. Hard conversations. Late follow-ups. Building while figuring it out together.

That’s how community gets built, by doing things together.
