🏀 A special thank you to the San Antonio Spurs for their generous support of the Red Shield Youth Center’s Fifth Quarter Initiative!

Today, we were blessed to receive a donation of 70 basketball jerseys in a variety of sizes that will be used for our upcoming tournament beginning June 16, 2026.

This contribution helps create a sense of unity, pride, and excitement for the young people participating in the program. We are grateful for organizations like the Spurs that invest in the lives of youth and help make opportunities like this possible.

Day 2 of VBS is in the books! 🔍✨

Today’s Bottom Line was: “God Cares About Me.”

Our anchor Scripture was Psalm 34:3:
“Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”

This year’s VBS theme, Magnified!, reminds us that God is so great and so good that He deserves to be magnified in our lives. Throughout our building, you’ll notice decorations featuring magnifying glasses, microscopes, and enlarged objects. These visual reminders help teach an important truth: when we magnify something, we make it appear bigger so we can see it more clearly.

While we can never make God bigger than He already is, we can choose to focus on Him more closely and see His greatness more clearly. As our children learned today, God knows them, loves them, and genuinely cares about every detail of their lives. When we magnify the Lord, we begin to recognize His presence, His love, and His care in ways we may have overlooked before.

What an exciting day of worship, Bible learning, games, crafts, and growing in our understanding of God’s amazing love!

Today our Director Patrick Mouton took our team, along with Lieutenant Karim Shuaib II, to The Empty Cross in Kerrville for a time of team building and fellowship. While we were there, we also celebrated our Branch Manager’s birthday.

We are incredibly grateful and blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing group of people. It’s a privilege to work alongside a team that encourages, supports, and inspires one another. Looking forward to all that lies ahead!
