7 years ago, my life changed forever. As I reflect on the anniversary of my stage 4 cancer diagnosis, I stand before you in gratitude and awe. Grateful for the healing power bestowed upon me by God, and awestruck by the unwavering love and support of my family and friends.

Throughout this journey, I have learned that true strength is not a solitary pursuit but a collective force, fueled by the love and compassion of those who walk beside us. In the midst of life's storms, I discovered that finding peace is not about changing the storm, but learning to navigate it with grace and courage.

To all those battling their own storms, I offer you this beacon of hope: you are stronger than you know, braver than you believe, and surrounded by a community ready to lift you up in your darkest hours.

It sometimes feels like divine providence that my cancer diagnosis anniversary falls the day before . It comes as a reminder that as a community we can provide collective strength, shared hope, and enduring love, so that others can find the bravery to face tomorrow with renewed determination and unwavering resolve. I hope we can stand together as beacons of light, warriors of hope, and champions of resilience.

During the recent arctic blast, we were blessed to be able to distribute 7 heaters and 24 blankets to those in need within our community. This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support from all of you who contribute to our worthy cause. Your generosity is making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. It is part of our mission to help bridge the gap in the technological divide that exists in Texas communities. We are proud to have recently been able to gift the El Cenizo Public Library in Webb County a 50” inch TV, 10 computers, printer paper, and 5 printers. These devices are helping children and adults access important online resources and educational programs; as well as being a fun activity during kids camps this summer!

Donations like this would not be possible without organizations such as The Ralston Family Charitable Foundation who financially supports The Willie Ng Family Foundation, so that we can continue with these wonderful community-focused initiatives. We are also grateful for TAD (The Americano Dream) who joined the effort to donate printers, ink, and printer paper towards the cause.

Thank you Daisy Perez , City Commissioner for your friendship, and for remembering to call upon us in a time of need. We look forward to continuing to support you, and the City of El Cenizo, with education and public safety initiatives.
