It's Not Easy
It's not easy to be obedient to God when you see the disobedient appear happy while your heart is breaking!
It's not easy to not question why this happened to you when you see so many that do not have these miseries!
It's not easy to accept the things you cannot change when you want change more than anything!
It's not easy to remind yourself to have wisdom when you feel so foolish about choices made!
Life is not easy, losing those you love is not easy, and they are not supposed to be. We MUST trust God and recognize all things, especially those hidden in tragedy, are working together for our good!

Friday was the 3rd anniversary of my son's murder and it is hard not to feel some type of way when you see families that are whole and no one has been taken away! And just as I was feeling sorry for myself I met a girl whose father was murdered when she was 16. We all have suffering, it is never the same, but we all have things we have to go through. This center is here to help anyone who needs it. Email, call, or text if there is anything we can do to provide hope when you feel like hope is not easy!

715 days since my amazing son was murdered. There is no greater pain than losing a child, but there is an added unrest when the cowards that stole his life are not brought to justice. My Jalil was not just another black male taken by gun violence. He was so much more than another crime victim. He was a loving son and brother to all of his siblings. He was BEST friend to more people than any other person I have ever known. He put his family over everything. His heart was so big he was incapable of holding a grudge, he could be so mad at you today, but tomorrow, he was going to let you know he just can't stay mad! He He tried his best to bring people together. He could make ANY situation funny, even the last play of a game when your team lost! His presence, his smile, his humor, just everything about who he was as a man has left a void in my family that will never be healed. I am begging anyone out there who knows who is responsible for taking my child from this earth to please call crime stoppers. My baby deserves better than to just be another black male lost to gun violence. I need justice for one of the greatest men I was blessed to have in my life. Please help this injustice!

George Floyd was murdered. He and his family are victims of crime and the appropriate laws should be enforced surrounding it. With that being said, it is important for all the justly outraged people of Minneapolis to please remember we do not want violence and looting to overshadow justice. Most importantly, not to forget that we should want justice and no further hurt to the innocent. We have been here before as a people and must remember to do onto others as we want others to do unto us. Peaceful protests are the only ones that are heard, when we involve violence the justice gets lost to the picture of chaos. Please lets show our strength in numbers peacefully so we can make changes to unnecessary violent crime with peaceful demands for change that begets justice for all!.

The unfortunate fact of life is that victims of crime are a group of people that are ALWAYS hurt but rarely helped outside of the justice system. It is time to help those that have suffered through no fault of their own. Let the healing begin!

Galatians 6:2
"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
