D2 Presidents Round Table

D2 Presidents went to City Council on Nov. 3. 2022, in opposition to these UDC 16-8 and 16-10. This would allow other community groups to register already where there is an established neighborhood.
They would overlap in to our neighborhoods. We got no respect or appreciation for the work we have done.

Right now our councilman is all over the place. But his constituents are of no importance.

Very disappointed that our District 2 Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez was the one pushing for these amendments. He did not support the 30 neighborhood association that represent the communities in District 2. Even though the day of council he had signatures from all the presidents in opposition.
That was disrespect.

This was a fight with the same issue many of us battled in 2018 and we won. Thanks to many within the community who supported us in District 2.

It is obvious our Councilman right now is looking to get reelected and votes. This issues that really mattered to our concern were left to deaf ears. He never met with us after Council and Development committee. He says he has an open door policy not so true.

Our leadership in District 2 is weak and flawed. If our Councilman thinks he can use some of us he does not really know District 2. We cannot and will not be used.

Only time will tell where we go from here.

District 2 neighborhood presidents are in opposition to UDC 29-1, 16-8 and 16-10.

District 2 Councilman Jalen Mckee-Rodriguez is not supporting the 30 neighborhood associations in District 2. The Mayor Ron Nirenberg said he thought it was not a good idea. The City Manager say it should not be udc amendments but policy.
THE CITY MANAGER HAS THE SOLUTION LISTEN TO HIM AT THE LIVE MEETING ON OCT. 19, 2022 REGARDING THESE UDC.

Some groups want notifications so give it to them.
But without overlapping into our existing neighborhood.

There was a process of the city that happened in 2018. The D2 Presidents Round Table and the City of San Antonio Culture Committee opposed these udc.
THE VOTE WAS KILLED IN THAT COMMITTEE.

Now the Tier 1 group and small group want this again.

Call District 2 and tell our Councilman to vote no. If you live in another district do the same. This will affect all 10 council districts.

RIGHT NOW COUNCILMAN RODRIGUEZ, ITS NOT ABOUT VOTES OR RE-ELECTION BUT YOUR COMMUNITY, YOUR CONSTITUENTS. THAT IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT. THOSE YOU WERE ELECTED TO REPRESENT. RIGHT NOW WE HAVE NO REPRESENTATION BECAUSE HAS REFUSED TO MEET WITH THE PRESIDENTS.

On October 4 many neighborhoods will be celebrating National Night Out now know as San Antonio Neighbors Together.

We as a community leaders and residents, businesses must work closely with SAPD Saffe officers to help decrease crime in our communities.

Many neighbors will be celebrating with food, fun.
Find out who your Neighborhood president is and join them.

Very concerned about this young man that spoke at City Council on Sept. 15 at City Hall.
Does anyone know him?
Looks like this District 2 Businessman was totally disrespected when he spoke at the podium. Our District 2 Councilman ignored him completely and went to talk to someone else while this man was speaking. Everyone has a right to be heard as a constituent.

This is the first we hear about all the renovations at District 2 Rittiman office.

Residents in that area have been asking for almost 1 year for this office to be opened. To many excuses. Even though District 2 sets up locations to talk to constituents we are missing the issue. Wasting
Tax payers dollars.

This man has a point.
Something is wrong here. Why would we spend all this tax payers money to renovate a building that does not belong to the city. Why are we paying $1800.00 a month on rent of this building if we are not using it.

Bexar County Judge and District Attorney Debate yesterday. Thank you to all 4 candidates for allowing community leaders to host this event. We had people from Northside, Eastside, Westside and southside great turnout here on northeast.

All candidates questions were not given in advance. They all did a great job.

Thanks to students at SW Prepratory for doing live face book and their awesome teacher Mr. Flores.

Our Bexar County Judges and many more great people who came.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible the D2 Presidents Round Table.
We hosted this event to get the community engaged. We all know how important it is to vote.
