We are doing really well! The transport people were wonderful. Sunny is an absolute joy! She’s wonderful in the crate. She slept really well last night and then we went out really early this morning. Since we go out multiple times a day, she’s becoming more confident, and she loves the neighbors and dogs that she has already encountered. She definitely needs her downtime and I’m making sure she has time to decompress over the next few months. I’m in love! Thank you for everything.

Our sweet Toffee had a full examination with our veterinarian today, and unfortunately, the news wasn't what we were hoping for. πŸ’”
We confirmed that BOTH of his front legs are indeed broken. 😒 But as heartbreaking as that is, it's not even the most concerning part of his medical condition.
Toffee has been diagnosed with pneumonia AND distemper. πŸ’”
Distemper has been running rampant at ACS, and we knew this was a possibility when we rescued him. We prayed and hoped that somehow our sweet boy had managed to avoid it, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. 😭
We have a game plan in place with our veterinarian and are going to do everything we possibly can to give Toffee a fighting chance. ❀️🐾
This poor baby has already been through SO much. He should be enjoying life, playing, and being loved without a care in the world. Instead, he's facing broken legs and two serious illnesses.
PLEASE keep Toffee in your thoughts and prayers. πŸ™β€οΈ He has a long road ahead of him, and right now, he needs all the love, positive thoughts, and prayers he can get.
We're not giving up on you, sweet boy. You've got an entire village rooting for you! πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈπŸΎ
