Let's try and hold a work day this Saturday (if the weather clears out). 10 till we're done (3 or so) at Fairview School. Bring your projects and a sack lunch. We'll be in my classroom. Anybody needs directions hollar in the comments to this message.

IT is supposed to meet next saturday on June 27 BUT my sister and her family are coming into town that weekend so we need to move the meeting to JULY 4. I know that's a holiday but unless you are going to the lake, festivities don't usually start until later in the day.

Also, for those not at the last meeting, we can't get to the thermostat so no air conditioning which won't be a problem later in the year. we just have to get through the next couple of months. Next summer we can move back to my classroom where we can get to the air conditioning. There are ceiling fans so instead of meeting from 10 to 3, we need to change that to 8:30 to 1 (or until we get too hot and pack it in).

So Next meeting is July 4 at Fairview starting at 8:30 and finishing probably around 1:00

After a long talk with Jane, it has been decided that Illuminated Threads will hold all meetings in San Angelo. Jane is preparing to move to San Angelo, hopefully in the next few months which leaves the Big Spring meetings in limbo and it's hard to plan projects when we're not sure where we are meeting from month to month.

From now on, we will be meeting at Fairview Accellerated School in San Angelo. The school is on Highway 87 South of San Angelo. Go apx 1 mile past American British Antiques, or apx 1 mile past the overpass (bridge) where Hwy 277 exits for Christoval. There is a sign that says "South Fairview School Road", turn left at this intersection, the back of the school is directly in front of you. There is a big "S" curvee which takes you around the school, park in front of the school in the paved parking lot and enter the cafeteria on the west side of the school.

We will be meeting in the cafeteria instead of my classroom for two reasons: first when we all show up, we don't fit in my classroom anymore and second, there will be workmen painting and replacing the carpet in my classroom this summer. So there should be lots of room for everyone.

Our next meeting is next Saturday, May 30. all meetings are from 10am till we're finished ususally around 3 or 4.

Workday reminder. This Saturday (Nov 15), 10am till we're done. Bring whatever you need to work on and a sack lunch (no group pot luck today). We'll be out at Fairview School (take hwy 87 south out of San Angelo and turn left at the sign that says "South Fairview School Road". It's the first building you come to after the big "S" curve.

IT will meet at Fairview Accelerated School on Nov 8th and 15th for extra work days before Christmas. It's on hwy 87 south about a mile past the overpass where hwy 277 exits toward Christoval and Eldorado (American British Antiques is on the other side of the road). There is a sign that says "South Fairview School Road", turn left and it's the first portable classroom you come to, right after the big "S" curve. Someone will be there about 10am tomorrow (the 8th) and again on the 15th.

IT is meeting in Big Spring this Saturday at First Pres. from 10am till we're done, bring pot luck for lunch and whatever project you are working on.

I have a prototype of a pvc pipe inkle loom for the group to look at.

Also we need to discuss what classes we'd like to teach at next year's Scottish Irish Faire in Midland. Roy has requested the class list in the next couple of months. So if you're not able to attend the meeting this Saturday, let me know what you'd like to teach.
