First Friends - For Autism, Aspergers, and Special Needs Kids First Friends -I started this group to allow my Aspergers son... This group is new to San Angelo, TX.

I started this group to allow my Aspergers son to have the opportunities to have fun and make friends like other children his age. We have various activities like holiday events, play dates and other fun meetups. Please feel free to join if you have a special child who could use some friends to play with; or if you would like to take your kids to fun events and talk to other moms who share similar experiences and advice.

The ABC Center is comprised of high-quality professionals who are experienced with children with autism and other disabilities. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), and registered behavior technicians provide direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children through direct, one-on-one services. Training of family and educators are also provided to ensure that our children continue to progress in their homes, schools, and in the community. We believe that every child has the potential to learn. The team focuses on the increase of communication, learning, and appropriate social behaviors as well as the reduction of inappropriate behaviors. We use Applied Behavior Analysis, Verbal Behavior, Intensive Teaching Trials, and Natural Environment Training in every behavioral treatment program, specifically created for each child.

I was able to get in contact with the Killeen Civic Art Guild today. They may be willing to allow us to have art classes for the kids in their studio. We would like to offer 2-4 classes a month. Their board will have to discuss our proposal so keep your fingers crossed!
