Well, San Angelo friends and family, we’ve heard you loud and clear.

We are working on finding a way to continue doing what we do.

That includes the AACV Walk for Autism. The walk will be on April 25, at the River Stage as originally planned.

We will post official details soon. Please give us a day or two to get team registration requests up and running on the website.

Please help us get the word out by sharing this post.

After more than 10 years of serving families in the San Angelo community, the Autism Alliance of the Concho Valley will be closing its doors.

This decision was not made lightly. At the end of the day, our Board of Directors determined that we no longer have the capacity to support more growth.

For over a decade, our program has been honored to support, advocate for, and connect families affected by autism throughout the Concho Valley. We are incredibly proud of the initiatives, events, and resources we have been able to provide. But our greatest source of pride is the relationships we have built along the way.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the families who trusted us, the volunteers who gave their time and heart, and the community members and partners who supported our mission. Because of you, we were able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.

While the Autism Alliance of the Concho Valley may be closing, the spirit of support, understanding, and advocacy for individuals with autism will continue in our community. We encourage families to continue seeking connection and resources and to keep supporting one another.

We aren't going away completely, just yet. We will not have a Walk or participate in San Angelo Gives this year. But, we will still be involved in bringing you another ThAUTful Theater Performance through Ballet San Angelo next month, and we are looking forward to a swim party this summer.

Thank you, San Angelo, for more than a decade of trust, partnership, and shared purpose. It has truly been an honor to serve this community.
With gratitude and so much love,
Autism Alliance of the Concho Valley

We are thrilled to announce that Ballet San Angelo is hosting our AACV families once again for a Sensory Friendly performance of The Nutcracker on Thursday, December 11 at 7:00 at the City Auditorium.

***PLEASE READ***

Unfortunately, our last few performances with Ballet San Angelo have brought in an increasing number of "crashers". We have to reiterate that this performance is for individuals and families on the Autism Spectrum who have sensory challenges that make normal performances inaccessible to or uncomfortable for them. IF this practice continues, BSA will no longer be able to offer a free performance for us.

To try to prevent this issue, we will be requiring a digital ticket for all attendees. Follow the directions below to reserve your spot.

Comment below with the number of attendees in your party. We will send you a digital "ticket" that you can use for your entire group.

Please understand that it may take a few days to get tickets, and we may need to ask a few questions of some families.
