Get ready for an exciting night of racing for a great cause at Concho Valley Dragway!

This Saturday, August 29, ESA – Epsilon Sigma Alpha is turning up the horsepower with Racing to Fight Hunger, a fundraiser benefiting the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank.

We are excited to welcome the America 250 truck from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and JustServe to the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank on Wednesday, August 26, bringing a generous donation of food to support communities across our region!

Please note: This is NOT a mass food distribution. The donated food will be received, inventoried, and made available to our partner agencies throughout the Concho Valley.

Once inventory is complete, available items will be posted to our online agency portal next week. Partner agencies, please keep an eye on the agency portal for updates and availability as these items are added.

We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation and the opportunity to put this food directly into the hands of our partner agencies serving communities across the Concho Valley.

Something BIG is rolling into San Angelo!

On Wednesday, August 26, the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank will welcome a fully loaded JustServe/America250 truck carrying up to 40,000 pounds of donated food to help feed families throughout our community.

This incredible donation is part of a nationwide effort between America250 and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with 250 truckloads of food being donated to communities across all 50 states in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

And this food will go right to work here at home. The donated food will be used to support Concho Valley Regional Food Bank distributions throughout our service area, helping us put food directly into the hands of the people and communities we serve. From San Angelo to the rural communities across the Concho Valley, this generous donation will help us continue meeting people where they are and keeping food accessible throughout our region.

Through JustServe, volunteers and organizations are coming together to show what can happen when service, generosity, and community come together.

We are honored and excited that the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank and San Angelo are part of this historic initiative, helping ensure this food reaches people throughout the Concho Valley.

At Oak Grove Seniors Apartments, many residents live on fixed incomes, and for some, a trip to the grocery store may only happen once a month.

Our distributions help fill the gap with fresh produce, along with canned and frozen foods that are easy to store, simple to prepare, and there when they’re needed. Access to fresh fruits and vegetables is especially important for seniors who may have limited transportation or difficulty getting to a grocery store regularly.

More than providing food, these distributions help seniors maintain their independence and dignity while keeping nutritious meals on the table.

We’re grateful to be able to bring a variety of healthy food directly to the people who need it, right where they are.

Every group that volunteers helps us sort, pack, and distribute food to over 120 pantry and meal site partners, the boots on the ground in every corner of the Concho Valley.
