Children are disproportionately affected when their families experience homelessness. Our Emergency Housing Fund provides critical rent assistance to maintain stable housing for these families. Vulnerable families are often the most severely impacted by crises and require the longest recovery periods. We provide ongoing support to these families throughout their journey towards stability. Unfortunately, we cannot continue this vital work without sufficient funding. The Giving Hope community has always had our back. We urgently need your support now. Our emergency housing fund is depleted, and without your help we cannot continue to say YES to families in crisis.

Today was a sad day!
Today a new family who was flooded out of their home in Sumas reached out for help with rent and food.
We couldn’t say yes because our emergency housing fund is depleted for the year and it is only March.
It is so much harder to help families find stability after they lose their housing. It is also more expensive.
Many just need a little help to get back on their feet. Today we couldnt offer that help .
Please help us keep families housed by donating to our emergency housing fund.

Today thanks to your generous donation a very special volunteer got her hearing back. We have known this woman since we started during the Pandemic. She works tirelessly for her community. She has gradually lost her hearing over the last 3 years but couldn’t afford hearing aids. Today Thanks to the Giving Hope Community she will be able to hear again !!!

We say YES to keeping families in stable housing !
The road out of homelessness is long and steep. There are many challenges along the way. We are there for the journey. It takes a significant financial investment to follow a family for 3 to 5 years. We started working with a young woman in her early twenties with a 2 year old daughter who has special needs. She came to WA fleeing a violent boyfriend and was living in her car. Her daughter became very sick and ended up in the ICU. We provided emergency housing and later housing for over a year. After a few starts and stops in different programs she completed a work internship and has been steadily employed. She recently reached out and asked for assistance with first and last months rent and a deposit. She wants to move to a better school district for her daughter’s needs. This young woman is so brave and strong. She is working so hard to create a better life for her daughter.
Our housing fund for the year is almost depleated and it is only Feb.

Please help us raise $5000. to move this family in their own Apartment.

It is so much more humane and cost effective to keep a family housed. We do that with our emergency housing fund. Housing stability hsd to come first!
Our fund is almost depleted and we need your help.
Since January we have helped families who lost everything in the flooding in Skagit and Whatcom counties avoid eviction.
Last year we helped a single mom with 2 tolddlers and a 5 year old who has Autism, a family whose father was hospitalized with a new born and toddler. These are just a few of our families. When we commit to a family we are there for them for as long as it takes.

Since January we have given out $5000. In grocery cards, 500 children and adult winter coats, clothing, shoes and essential items. We kept 3 families with young children housed with our emergency housing fund.
Last night we were contacted by the neighbor of a family with 3 school age children. They need food, clothing and rent assistance. Of course we said YES but we cannot say yes to the next family without your help.
Please consider a donation to keep a family in stable housing and provide food and needed items. We work with the most vulnerable families during times of crisis.

Our rental assistance and emergency housing funds keep vulnerable families in stabie housing. When we commit to a family we stick with them for as long as it takes. We cannot do that without adequate funding.

Behind every successful non profit are business’s that donate their time, show up when you need them and have your back.
Meet Mike and his business
Aimless Goods in Redmond.
We needed T shirts on a very tight timeline for a major event in a holiday week. Mike was the only print shop who would take the job. When the T shirts didn’t arrive the day prior to event , Mike sprung into action. He went out and purchased them stayed late,finished the job and met us off of I 5 on the way to the event the next day.
