Teaching Is My Passion

Although Teddy started as a track star, competing nationally between 400m and Cross Country, he developed a love for the game of basketball that carried him into adulthood. He was an All-Star through high school, and had a stellar collegiate career as a shooting guard for Georgian College in the greater Toronto area, in Canada. He began coaching nearly 15 years ago, starting with a local youth recreation league, various developmental camps between Ontario and New York, before returning to his high school, GCVI, as part of the coaching staff for the Varsity Boys team.

He also worked for a number of years under Tarry Upshaw (Coach Team Canada) at Georgian College on the coaching staff heading up their guard development. Later, focusing his talents on athletes high school and younger as part of Shake True Hoops Training as a personal and small group trainer. Currently, Teddy regularly trains 100+ youth throughout King County and has several training partnerships including multiple private schools & LocalHoops Training Academy where he trains and coaches teams. His teams have went on to win 10+ tournament championships in the last few seasons. Most notable the 2019 Jam On It Hawaiian Grand Prix.

Before moving to Sammamish, Washington with his wife and two daughters, Teddy was a regional trainer for Young Drivers of Canada, the most recognized driver education program in the country. He consistently ranked amongst the Top 10 instructors in Canada as voted by the students, he worked for a decade certifying instructors and over 2,500 students in class and in car as the managing instructor throughout Southern Ontario.
