Welcome to Magoffin County Community Foundation:
This web site is available as a community bulletin board to communicate civic activities by the county's non profit organizations. Our mission is to build charitable resources for our community and to provide leadership and education for those who want to give to enhance the quality of life in Magoffin County. Our vision is to establish and grow a r

eputable foundation, which displays the utmost integrity and builds trust with those dedicated to improving Magoffin County, in an ever-changing society. You can be part of this effort in many ways and your gifts receive the maximum tax deductions because the Foundation through its affiliate, The Blue Grass Community Foundation, is a 501(c) (3) organization.


• You may contribute to one of the Foundation’s existing funds.

• You may establish a field of interest or donor advised fund and support a particular area of interest.

• You can give cash, stock, real estate, or a portion of insurance proceeds and retirement funds.

• You can establish a permanent fund, where your gift keeps giving - grants and scholarships can go on forevermore.

• You can be as active as you wish or you may have the Foundation do the grant making


The Foundation had $331,000.00 in endowment investments and funds available for grants as of April 30, 2010. These funds are managed through the Blue Grass Community Foundation, 250 West Main Street, Suite 1220, Lexington, KY 40507-1714, Lisa Adkins, J.

For anyone that attended Community Day today (August 17th) and purchased an entry ticket, we will be drawing for the car on Monday the 19th. Today MCHS was honored to have Marlee Crace, Sophie McFarlan, Erin Rudd, and Rylee Thacker, four very talented young ladies, perform for its staff and students! Each girl competed and received a Community Vocal Scholarship worth one thousand dollars. Catch their performances tomorrow at 10:00a.m. at Community Day!
