Carolyn Jean Hurley, age 68, of Chavies, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY. Carolyn alongside her husband, Frank, own and operate Hurley Electric. She was a member of Chavies First Church of God. Carolyn enjoyed listening to music and cooking meals for her family. She was a devoted Christian whose faith was a huge part of her life. She cherished every moment she got to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her love for her grandchildren was unconditional.
She was the daughter of the late Robin Stamper and the late Vicie Neace Stamper. She is also preceded in death by One Sister: Brenda Smith and Two Brothers: Archie Stamper & Jake Stamper.
She is survived by her Husband: Frank Hurley; Two Sons: James Hurley (Kindall) & Jessie Hurley; Six Sisters: Hanie Watts, Mary Bell Noble, Katie Bush, Inez Baldridge,
Loretta Stamper & Eula Conley; Two Brothers: Robin Stamper (Connie) & Roger Stamper; Eight Grandchildren: Miranda, Drew, Carter, Chancey, Dylan, Blayklee, Hagen & Brooklyn; Two Great Grandchildren: Cash & Canyon and A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard's Mtn. View Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 23, 2026. Funeral service will be at Maggard's Mtn. View Chapel at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 23, 2026, Brother Brian Bridges officiating. Interment will be at Napier-Hurley Cemetery, Chavies, KY
