We would like to thank everyone involved in this past weekend’s rodeo. From set up to tear down, it was great to see the collaborative efforts of everyone to have such a great event for our next generation. We would especially like to thank everyone for leaving our grounds in order. The manners displayed by our young competitors and a quick pass through after the last trailers left the grounds showing minimal signs of any trash left behind is a great show of the character being instilled in the youngsters of the Virginia High School Rodeo Association. The parents should be proud!!

The Rich Valley Fair Association is looking forward to hosting everyone this coming weekend. You’ll be happy to know that the weather forecast is looking great with highs in the low 80s and minimal chance of rain.

To help insure everyone has a great experience, we ask that you refer to the picture below for parking/camping.
Diagram in separate post to follow
If you are planning on tying out or bringing pop up pens for your horses please park in the northern (yellow) area. Please be courteous and not take more space than is needed.

If your horses are staying in stalls or you are camping without horses please park in the red area.

We would like to keep the purple area open for day hauls and cars so not to create a cluster in the camping areas.

We also ask that you park perpendicular to the river and all spaces be filled in along the river before parking in the middle of the field. Once all spaces along the border are filled, we ask the remainder of the space be filled in perpendicular to the river as well. This insures that there is no wasted space and in the case of an emergency no one is blocked in.

There will be a dumpster or a dump trailer for trash at the entrance to the field.

Again, please be courteous not to take more space than you need to help use make sure everyone has a great experience.

We look forward to a fun weekend,
John Campbell
RVF Asso. Vice President

Come out for an action packed weekend of family fun!

Friday evening kicks off with team roping at 5:00pm.

Then Saturday we welcome the Virginia High School Rodeo Association at 6:00pm with contestants aging from peewee through high school coming to us from throughout the commonwealth!

Then Sunday at noon they are back in action to round out the weekend.

As we all love, our local Old Rich Valley Farm fair burgers will be available in the concession stand as well as our other menu items.

Concession hours will be available 5-close Friday. Then open from 8-10am Saturday for breakfast with sausage biscuits and gravy biscuits. We will reopen around 4:30 Saturday for the rodeo. Sunday we will open at 8am for breakfast and remain open through the rodeo for lunch. So come hungry and get your bellies full while we cheer on these talented youth!!

**Please remember to leave your furry friends at home so they don’t have to stay in the car with the A/C running.
