OUR MISSION:

To raise positive awareness, education and solutions for environmental issues using music, art, science, and community. OUR STORY:

We are The EcoMedia Compass, an environmental education 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in 2011 by Kerry F. Morrison and a crew of passionate musicians, artists, scientists and activists. OUR WORK:

We believe everyone has an important part to

play in taking care of our environment. Our goal is to connect with as many people about important environmental issues and inspire action through music, art, science and ocommunity. Our work focuses on facilitating dynamic collaborations through interactive educational events and popular media. Through social media, community events and creative collaborations we have inspired countless people to discover, learn and act on important environmental challenges directly impacting their communities. Campaign to bring immediate positive awareness to the largest endangered lake in California, the unparalleled Salton Sea. In only a few years, we’ve managed to change thousands of minds for the benefit of the region using social media, dynamic community events, music videos, documentaries, art, photography, education and activism. With a large social media following and a growing industry network we are able to effectively share solutions in a creatively engaging manner while emphasizing the region’s promising potential and the importance of fully restoring the Salton Sea for future generations. With the success and impact of the Save Our Sea! Campaign, we send out an SOS for the area, speaking science, solutions and action.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re celebrating quiet wins that matter: trees we planted now thriving, water discovered beneath Desert Shores, and real momentum toward restoring the channels. This work happens step by step, with care and community at its core. Read our Year in Review:https://mailchi.mp/54df41d659bc/2025-in-a-salton-seashell
