Our final day of touring (Day 6) of the Senior Trip was spent heading home but with a stop at the Historic George Ranch in Richmond, Texas. While there, we had a roping demonstration; saw the cows being dipped; toured two homes; rode the tractor and wagon; and heard from the blacksmith shop. It was a nice way to leave Texas!

Feeding the Hungry is the WoodmenLife National Community Focus. Chapter 518 Dennis/Belmont recently did its part to help further that commitment as they had volunteers who shopped, delivered and helped organize food items for the Golden Central Baptist Church Food Pantry. Pictured are Wynoka Bostick with the ladies at the Belmont Piggly Wiggly and Wynoka with Cyndi Strickland with the groceries and inside the food pantry. Thank you, ladies, for caring for your community!

More Day 5 of Senior Trip. After we left the Japanese Tea Garden, we visited the Witte Museum, which featured Texas history, dinosaurs, and lots of animal displays. From there, we enjoyed lunch and shopping at the El Mercado. We then returned to the Riverwalk area to enjoy dinner at the Lone Star Cafe. The highlight of the evening was the boat tour along the Riverwalk. It was a long, but great day. The group is asked everyday what their favorite activity was, but Day 5 was so good no one could decide!

Day 5 of the Senior Trip was so busy that it's going to take two days to share! We began the day at San Fernando Church. It was beautiful and solemn. We then moved on to the Guenther House and Pioneer Mill. While some shopped and enjoyed coffee and cinnamon rolls, others took a walking tour of the beautiful neighborhood along the San Antonio River. Afterward, we visited the Japanese Tea Garden, which was so serene. Many enjoyed looking at the water and fish. The photos from this part of the day follows.
