We have several volunteer opportunities coming up at gardens across the Salt Lake Valley, from harvesting at our City Farm on 1300 S, to habitat restoration and garden maintenance at our community gardens.

Week 2 update from our deficit irrigation garden 🌱💧

Our soil moisture monitor is still showing blue, which means the soil is still holding plenty of moisture. Based on that, we've reduced irrigation to every other day and may scale it back even further if conditions continue to stay moist.

We'll keep tracking soil moisture throughout the season and sharing what we learn. Check back next week for another update!

Sprouts Explorers Summer Camp starts next week! 🌞

Kids ages 6–9 will explore the garden, discover plants and insects, make tasty snacks, and enjoy hands-on outdoor fun.

THANK YOU to our passionate, dedicated, and JOYFUL Pals of the Plant Sale members for another incredible Friday early access extravaganza! The shared excitement for WCG’s lovingly grown organic seedlings was palpable and so gratifying.

Donors, super shoppers, partners, and volunteers… YOU have empowered yourself and hundreds of others to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food. Bravo!

We are grateful for everyone who jumped on board by donating before PoPS Night and for everyone who said YES to adding a donation during check-out… you helped us raise $12,000 in May alone.

Join us for Cooking With the Milpa: Pesto and Tostadas 🌽🌱

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the ancestral milpa system by planting in the garden, making tortillas from scratch, and creating tostadas topped with a flavorful “weed” pesto - reimagining what we often overlook in our gardens as nourishment.

Led by Prime Corn, this class blends gardening, cooking, and cultural storytelling rooted in pre-Hispanic food traditions of the Americas.
