Persevere is on a mission to break the cycle of incarceration and poverty by empowering justice-impacted individuals with tech education, career readiness, and holistic support. We believe in second chances, community-driven solutions, and the transformative power of opportunity. Through coding education, reentry support, job placement, and a network of care—we help people rebuild their lives and unlock their full potential.

Sometimes progress is best told in just a few words. 💙

We asked Persevere residents to reflect on what they've accomplished and how the transition home has been helpful to them. Their answers were simple and powerful:

Hope. Humility. Self-love. Security. Financial stability. Freedom. Moving forward. Rebuilding.

Behind every one of those words is a real person doing the work.

One resident, Regina, put it this way: Persevere helped her secure stable housing during her mandatory early release, complete a heavy equipment operations certificate through TCAT at Nashville State Community College, land employment, and successfully appeal an attempt to deny her a server permit because of her felony charge. She's now working toward her own apartment — the final step in returning to society on her own terms.

For some, Persevere is education and training. For others, it's the transitional housing and wraparound support needed to take the next step after incarceration. Every journey looks different — and every step forward matters.

Don't confuse a gap in opportunity with a gap in potential. 💙

Everyone's journey looks different. A different path doesn't mean a lesser destination — and a person's past doesn't determine what they're capable of building next.

Talent exists in every background. People grow when given a chance. Opportunity reveals what's possible when someone is finally given the room to show up and do the work.

Yesterday, our AI & Digital Skills students stepped into the spotlight for Shark Tank presentations!
Each student pitched a unique business concept, showcasing the creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking they've been developing throughout the course so far.

But this is just the beginning. These ideas won't stay on the drawing board. Over the coming weeks, students will continue refining their business models while designing and building the websites that bring their visions to life as part of their capstone projects.

We're excited to watch these concepts grow from an idea, to a pitch, to a fully realized digital presence.
