Pamela Atkinson dedicated her life to making sure people in our community felt seen, valued, and cared for. Her kindness, compassion, and tireless advocacy for those experiencing homelessness and hardship touched countless lives across Utah.

At Valley Behavioral Health, her work holds a special place in our hearts. We see every day how much of a difference compassion, connection, and access to support can make in someone’s life.

We are deeply grateful for all Pamela did for our community. Her legacy will continue to inspire the work we do and the people we serve.

Our CEO, Jared Sanford, shares why collaboration across communities is essential to addressing su***de prevention, substance use recovery, and behavioral health needs.

Thank you to Molina Healthcare of Utah for helping bring attention to this important conversation and the work happening across our communities.

“No single organization can address behavioral health outcomes alone,” Valley Behavioral Health President and CEO Jared Sanford writes in an op-ed. “Progress depends on sustained collaborations.”

We had a great time celebrating our Tooele clients and families!

This week, our Tooele Client Celebration brought everyone together for an evening of games, a petting zoo, face painting, and time to connect with one another.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening special. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with our clients, families, and the Tooele community and continue building a place where everyone feels supported and welcome.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week is a time to celebrate the incredible professionals who support people with disabilities in living independent, fulfilling, and meaningful lives. DSPs provide encouragement, advocacy, guidance, and daily support that help individuals reach their goals and be active members of their communities.

We kicked off DSP Week with some exciting upgrades to our staff lounge, including a new coffee bar and a dedicated decompression area to help our team recharge. These improvements were made possible through the generosity of our donors, and we are so grateful for their support. Thank you to our incredible Direct Support Professionals for the compassion, dedication, and difference you make every day!

Help us spread the word and support this great organization! Advantage Services Inc

Advantage Services needs your help to continue our mission of Independence through Gainful Employment for Disadvantaged Individuals. Since 1992 we've served the Salt Lake Valley by helping those who are experiencing disadvantages (homelessness, incarceration, mental/physical disabilities, and/or addiction) in their lives by giving them employment and the tools to thrive after taking that first step.

Through a series of unfortunate choices made by our largest partner, we're now facing the difficult task of making up the costs necessary to continue operating while we finalize other avenues to keep our doors open. Any questions can be directed to [email protected]
