Join the Utah Masonry Council on September 18 at Interstate Brick for a full day of education, hands-on learning, industry connection, and competition.

From AIA continuing education courses and hands-on demonstrations to a plant tour, the Masonry Skills Challenge, and the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500®, there’s something for every part of Utah’s masonry and A/E/C community.

What a day! With beautiful weather, a sold-out field of hole sponsors, and nearly 200 attendees, this year’s Mad About Masonry Golf Tournament was one to remember.

The Utah Masonry Council Machine Operators Apprenticeship Program recently had the opportunity to spend a week at for specialized training designed to elevate the next generation of machine operators.

A special thank you to James Wright and the Columbia Machine team for leading in-depth classroom instruction, hands-on machine training, and a behind-the-scenes facility tour. Experiences like these give our apprentices valuable real-world knowledge that simply can't be learned in the classroom alone.

Partnerships like this strengthen our industry and prepare tomorrow's workforce with the skills and confidence to succeed.

This three-year, earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to help participants build the skills needed for a successful career in concrete masonry production.
