I had the incredible honor of attending a special preview event at Lee’s Marketplace alongside Utah’s First Lady Abby Cox to kick off America’s Potluck! We got to try some amazing traditional 4th of July dishes and talk about a massive milestone coming up: the 250th anniversary of the United States! 🇺🇸🎉
The idea is simple but so beautiful: using the power of food to bring communities, neighbors, and families together to connect and celebrate.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 5, 2026, because the goal is to have potlucks happening all over the country! Anyone can host—whether it’s a small backyard grill-out or a massive neighborhood block party.
So, what will *you* bring to the table? 🤔🍰

1. Turn onto Consumers Road
From US-6 / US-191
Drive on US-6 / US-191 to the area between Helper and Price. Approximately 2 miles south of Helper (or 4.5 miles north of Price), turn west onto Consumers Road.
2. Locate Trestle Road
2.7 to 2.8 miles in
Follow Consumers Road straight for 2.7 miles. Just before the road crosses the main railroad tracks, turn left (south) onto Trestle Road (a dirt road). Note: If you cross the railroad tracks on Consumers Road, you have gone about a quarter-mile too far.
3 Follow the dirt road and cross the tracks
Approx. 3.3 miles
Cross the first cattle guard and follow the dirt road as it runs parallel to the railroad tracks on your right. After about 2.5 miles, the road will cross over the railroad tracks. Veer left to keep following the road, keeping the tracks on your left now.
4 Arrive at the Trailhead
End of the drive
Drive past a second cattle guard. At about 3.3 miles down this dirt road, look for a small wooden Gordon Creek Trail sign on the right. There is a small pull-off area with room for about 6 cars.
