IF THE WILD COULD TALK, WOULD WE HAVE THE ANSWERS? 😅

This , we're handing over the mic.

Introducing World of the Wild - Wildlife SOS's new comic series where wildlife asks the questions, and the answers aren't always easy.

Through humour, curiosity and a healthy dose of reality, this series will explore the challenges animals are facing in a world that is changing faster than ever before.

Because sometimes the most important conversations about conservation begin with a simple question. So welcome to the classroom!

Stay tuned, this is just the first lesson.

Nature thrives when communities come together to protect it.

This World Environment Day 2026, Wildlife SOS welcomed government officials, local leaders, students, and community members to the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre (ECCC) for a day dedicated to environmental awareness, conservation, and collective action for a greener future.

We were honoured by the presence of Chief Guest Shri Pooran Prakash, Hon'ble MLA, Baldev Assembly Constituency, Mathura, and Shri Pankaj Prakash Advocate, MLA Representative, Baldev Assembly Constituency and Member, Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. We were also privileged to welcome Dr. Pooja Gupta (CDO), along with the DPRO, Secretary, DFO Mathura, SDO, RFO, BDO, Forest Guards, and members of the local community.

The celebrations began with a plantation drive, followed by a guided tour of our Elephant Centre, where visitors had the opportunity to witness the care and rehabilitation of our elephants up close. They were warmly welcomed by Emma, Maya, and Phoolkali, making the experience even more special as they observed the routine care that goes into the daily well-being of our rescued elephants.

The atmosphere further became alive with drawing and skit competitions by students from Government Girls Inter College, Farah, and Charkula Global Public School, Mathura, who shared thoughtful and creative perspectives on the environment through their performances and artwork.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, making the day a vibrant celebration of awareness, compassion, and our collective responsibility towards the planet.

Children standing up for the environment! 🌿

For , students from various local schools in Dachigam, Jammu & Kashmir came together for an environmental awareness programme designed to inspire a deeper connection with nature.

Through guided nature walks and interactive discussions on wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation, students explored the incredible biodiversity of Dachigam while learning an important message: the environment provides us with clean air, water, food, and countless other resources, and in return, it needs our care and commitment.

We also had an interesting conversation about how the future of our planet depends on the choices we make today. By staying curious about nature, learning about wildlife, reducing waste, and inspiring others through their actions, young people can play a vital role in protecting the world around them.

Every question asked, every observation shared, and every discussion held brought us one step closer to building a generation that values and protects nature. 💚

500,000 saplings planted! 🌱

A huge milestone achieved for Wildlife SOS. Each sapling planted is a step towards restoring habitats, improving soil health, supporting biodiversity, and creating a healthier future for wildlife and people alike.

This , we're celebrating the power of collective action and the difference that thousands of small efforts can make when they come together.

Happy !

What better way to celebrate than by talking to the next generation of environmental champions?

To mark the occasion, our team spent time with around 200 students at Royal Public School, Bengaluru, discussing some big questions: Why is nature important? What environmental challenges are we facing today? How do our actions impact wildlife? And what can we do to make a difference?

The students came up with so many thoughtful ideas and solutions. The enthusiasm and thoughtful participation of the students were a reminder that the future of our environment lies in informed and empowered hands. 💚

Stay tuned as we share more activities and celebrations from across our centres and communities!

Forests cover nearly one-third of the Earth’s land and support about 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity, yet natural habitats are under growing pressure from deforestation, expanding infrastructure, and climate change.

For elephants, these landscapes are essential. They depend on large, connected forest and grassland areas to find food, water, and safe movement routes across seasons. When habitats are fragmented, it increases human-wildlife conflict and puts both elephants and local communities at risk.

Planting trees helps restore these vital corridors, rebuild degraded areas, and support healthier ecosystems where elephants and other wildlife can move and thrive.

From over two decades of being abused as a logging elephant, Vayu now spends his days with so much peace, going out for pleasant morning and evening walks where he takes his time to take in his surroundings, munching on his favourite snacks, and simply moving at his own pace.

It’s a beautiful sight to see him like this, just settled into calm, everyday moments.

06/03/2026

Did you know our elephants sometimes spend their walks chasing butterflies?

The Founders’ Trip 2027 offers a rare chance to step into these everyday moments that most visitors never get to see. Travel alongside our Co-Founders Kartick Satyanarayan and Geeta Seshamani, meet rescued elephants and sloth bears, explore our care centres, and hear the incredible stories of rescue, recovery, and hope that make Wildlife SOS so special.
