Tomorrow is one of those classic Ogden days — 350 shiny cars and thousands of people will arrive on Historic 25th Street for Pit Zone fun, taco eating contest, live music, and merch with that amazing local art by !

Did you know it all started with 45 cars that cruised from Layton to in 2001? The event founder Carolyn Brierley gave us the scoop.

Volunteer Sue Anderson brings her enthusiasm for a third year: “I have had so much fun helping set up the event, checking in the beautiful cars, selling car show merchandise and answering questions. As a classic and muscle car lover, I’m so excited to be back where the action is!” she said.

The 24th annual Historic 25th Street Car Show is Friday, 5-9 pm, presented by Ogden Downtown Alliance.

When I started the Dames nearly 15 years ago this coming 4th of July, I never could have imagined what it would grow into. More than anything, I never imagined how many women across the state of Utah it would connect.

Over the years, some gals have come and gone, some have remained loyal regardless of membership status, and others have taken what they learned and experienced with the Dames and gone on to create incredible things of their own.

Through it all, we’ve experienced the highs and the lows, and we take pride in making it through the blood, sweat, and tears that these last 15 years have brought.

What stands today was built together as a team, and for that I am deeply grateful. I truly have the most strong, resilient, supportive — not to mention beautiful — women standing behind me and behind our mission.

We also owe so much to our community for giving us the opportunity to create, grow, and continue the work we do.

To some, we may be “just a silly pinup group,” but to many, we are a powerhouse sisterhood.

I hope you’ll join us on June 28th at our annual Pinups & Chrome Car, Truck, and Bike Show as we celebrate 15 years of strength, beauty, community, and the incredible people we serve. 💋🦩✨

To the moms, bonus moms, pin-up mamas, aunties, grandmas, mentors, and every woman who has ever looked at someone and said “eat something, text me when you get home, and don’t settle for less” — today’s for you. 💋

Some of you raised children.
Some of you raised confidence.
Some of you raised entire communities without even realizing it.

Motherhood and motherly love don’t always come from biology.

So today we celebrate all forms of nurturing, fierce protection, soft encouragement, and even tough love.
