Last month Great Salt Lake Hopeline received our 13th annual Alfred Lambourne Prize in hybrid forms, selected by juror Hikmet Loe (Hikmet Loe).

Of the project, the artists explain, “The project responds to Great Salt Lake by reframing environmental advocacy through intimacy and collective voice rather than statistics or fear-based messaging.”

Thanks to the Salt Lake County ZAP and Mayor Erin Mendenhall’s ACE grant programs for supporting the Alfred Lambourne Arts Program, which celebrates regional creativity inspired by our Inland Sea.

Our 13th annual Alfred Lambourne Arts Program will exhibit visual art, literary art, and hybrid works, awarding one winner from each category with the Alfred Lambourne Prize.

Don’t miss the gallery opening and live performances August 28 from 6-8:30pm at Sorenson Community Campus (1383 S 900 W, SLC).

Free & open to all.

Art is a form of advocacy, provoking us to see Great Salt Lake in new ways.
