The children in our primary are preparing for the annual primary sacrament meeting program. This video is a great review of all of the songs they have learned throughout the year. It also lists the the gospel principles they have learned while studying the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Parents, please remember to help your children practice their part(s) and songs at home this month. Our Program is on November 22nd at 9:00 am. Friends, extended family, and neighbors are all invited!

"I Know My Savior Lives" is the 2015 Primary theme. The children are learning about their Savior, Jesus Christ and their testimonies are growing in strength and knowledge. As I listened to this video of all of the testimonies of the Apostles and the First Presidency of our church, I thought of the children. Each of these great men first learned of their Savior at the feet of their mother, primary teachers, and at home with their family. Obtaining and maintaining a testimony should be a lifetime endeavor. I am so grateful for the examples of these modern day prophets.

This video reminds me of the October General Primary theme- The Mission of the church is to Invite All to Come unto Christ. When we serve and love those we come in contact with daily, we are following the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ. When others feel of His love, they will be drawn closer to Him and His teachings.

My younger daughter was asking me last night why we read the Book of Mormon has a family every night. She was not satisfied with my answers. I went searching this morning for a second witness of what I had told her and found this video from President Eyring. It is a short and sweet testimony of the power of the Book of Mormon in our lives.

This is a great article with some practical teaching ideas. "We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." (2 Nephi 25:26)

During Easter time one year, my wife suggested that we read as a family the scriptural accounts of the Savior’s final week in mortality. Hello All! Just a reminder about the practices for the Primary choir singing at Stake Conference on June 14th. The practices are being held Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday, June 14th at 9:00 a.m. before Stake Conference begins. The practices are both being held at the stake center.

This is a great film about simple acts of service, shot by a father of children in our primary and starring one of our primary teachers and another father of children in our primary. So fun!!

We've recently decided to use the conference talks as our lessons for FHE. Often there are stories told in these talks that teach a powerful lesson to our children, like Elder Clayton's story of the little girl, Sailor, who lost her family in a plane crash and followed a light to safety.
