Utah Refugee Connection is a nonprofit filling gaps in services in the refugee community. Our goal is to help the general community members have ways to LEARN about, SERVE and GIVE to refugees resettled in Utah in meaningful ways. We’d love you to like our page and follow along as we share ways to get involved. It’s easy to have a multicultural experience in your own back yard.

We are so close to our goal!!!!

We’re over halfway to our goal of providing “loads of hope” for local refugee families. 🧺💙

Recently, our laundry detergent shelves were completely bare and in need of restocking. Thanks to this amazing community, we’re already making progress toward filling them again.

Something as simple as laundry detergent provides dignity, comfort, and practical support for families rebuilding their lives here in Utah.

Imagine this: What if you and a couple of friends could change the life of a refugee family — and your own — in just a few months?

We’re hosting a CONNECT & LIFT info session on Thursday, June 11th at 7:00 online. Come learn how to step in as a Team Lead, gather a few friends, and walk alongside a refugee family with friendship, encouragement, and real support.🩵

Become a Serve Refugees Ambassador with Utah Refugee Connection!🌎

Looking for a meaningful way to stay consistently involved with refugees in Utah?
Want to help your friends and neighbors learn how to serve and support our refugee community?

We’re adding to our Serve Refugees Ambassador Team!

As an Ambassador, you’ll:

✅ Educate your local community and be a cheerleader for refugees
✅ Use your porch as a drop spot for key donation drives
✅ Deliver collected items to our Sharehouse
✅ Periodically volunteer at URC events
✅ Join monthly meetings (virtual and in-person) with fellow Ambassadors
✅ Commit fewer than 8 hours a month
✅ Serve from July 2026–June 2027
✅ Represent your local area along the Wasatch Front

📚 You’ll be empowered with training, community support, and resources to spread awareness and inspire action.

✨ We love to make it fun! Exciting things are planned for our Ambassadors this year.

We’re excited to partner with Know Your Neighbor, a wonderful Salt Lake City program that connects community members with meaningful ways to support local refugees.
Each month they share volunteer opportunities that create personal, one-on-one connections — from helping someone practice English to mentoring students or simply becoming a friend.

Looking for a meaningful way to serve this summer? ☀️💛

Utah Refugeee Connection is inviting families, friend groups, businesses, church groups, and community teams to put together hygiene and essentials kits for newly arriving refugee families in Utah. These simple kits help families feel welcomed, supported, and cared for during a major life transition.

Whether you want a family service project, a team-building activity, or a way to give back with your coworkers, this is such an easy and impactful way to help.

Kits can be dropped off at our Sharehouse:
Mondays & Wednesdays from 10–2
