🇫🇷 🔱 🇬🇧 With fond memories of last weekend’s Glorious First of June Regency Picnic, we’re looking forward to more summertime, Georgian-themed, outdoor fun. More picnics lie ahead, beginning this weekend at the Jane Austen Regency Festival LLC in Cedar City, followed by Jane Austen Society of North America: Utah Region’s Box Hill Picnic in August.

🇺🇸🇬🇧🇫🇷 We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves last evening at Old Glory Historical Dance’s magnificent commemoration of President George Washington’s First Inaugural Ball.

🌹 In honor of one of Washington’s favorite diversions, we all enjoyed an assortment of 18th century dances, Georgian-era board games, & sweet & savory treats.

🌷 The Heber Valley Railroad will host their Jane Austen Train again this year on Friday, 8 May 2026. The train will leave the station at 7 pm, so they recommend you arrive no later than 6:30 pm.

🌷 Last year's event was a lovely opportunity to enjoy tea service while traveling with your friends through the picturesque Wasatch hinterlands. We hope for the same this year!

🇫🇷 🔱 🇬🇧 Our highest compliments to our Sergeant of Marines for his courage displayed during our anachronistic, duet performance of ‘A British Tar’ at last weekend’s HMS Surprise Commemorative Evening at the Sign of the Long Dog Tavern.

🇬🇧 ⚓️ 🇫🇷 We also extend our gratitude to all those brave enough to join us in the fast-paced chorus! And, ultimately, we thank those mariners of a different era - Sir Patrick Stewart & Brent Spiner - for their unique performance of this tune, which ultimately inspired our own.
