Steve Gross, the “Chief Playmaker” from Life is Good, joined us at the Annual Event with a message that still resonates today: great cultures don’t happen by accident—they happen by design.

And true to his message, he didn’t just stand on stage and talk about it. He got us up, out of our seats, laughing, connecting, and playing together. In just a few minutes, a room full of dental professionals became a team. The lesson was unforgettable: when people feel connected, valued, and engaged, amazing things happen.

Steve taught that optimism, play, purpose, and human connection are not distractions from success—they are essential ingredients of it. The strongest cultures are built intentionally, one interaction at a time.

That’s why the Annual Event is so much more than a meeting. Every presenter is selected because they bring ideas, experiences, and tools that help teams create a Culture of Success®.

The best leaders know the difference between working IN the practice and working ON the practice. The Annual Event gives teams the opportunity to step away from the daily routine, learn together, and return home with new ideas to strengthen their culture.

n 2018, Hal Elrod joined us on the Crown Council stage in San Antonio and reminded us that the way we start our morning can change the way we show up in every part of life.

His Miracle Morning message was simple and powerful: make time each day for silence, affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading, and journaling. Small daily disciplines create stronger leaders, better teams, and more intentional lives.

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs do not come from doing more. They come from starting the day with purpose.

What is one habit in your morning routine that helps you show up at your best?

The Young Dentist Program continues to grow — and it keeps getting bigger, better, and more powerful every year.

What started as a way to help young dentists build confidence, sharpen clinical skills, and connect with great mentors has become one of the most exciting parts of the Crown Council community.

This program brings together rising dentists who are serious about learning, growing, serving, and building practices the right way. They learn from incredible mentors, build friendships with peers who are on the same path, and leave with a clearer vision of the kind of dentist — and leader — they want to become.

The future of dentistry is bright, and we are proud to help support the next generation of Crown Council doctors. Join us in 2027 - the link to register is in our bio.

Recognition is a big part of the Crown Council Annual Event because it reminds us what dentistry is really about: people, teams, service, leadership, and doing good. When we celebrate offices and team members on stage, we are not just handing out awards—we are shining a light on the kind of effort, excellence, and culture that inspires the entire Crown Council community to go home and do even more.

“You might have a world‑changing idea that just needs a chance.”

At Crown Council 2026, Kyle Scheele encouraged us to build cultures where bold ideas can thrive—and our teams can too. Kyle brought creativity, courage, and a whole lot of laughter to Crown Council. This is the kind of culture‑shaping, principle‑driven content you can expect from our events every year

You don’t build a great culture by accident—you build it on purpose. The best teams don’t just show up and hope things get better. They step away from the day-to-day, get in the room together, and go to work on their culture—refining it, strengthening it, and committing to be better when they go home.

That’s what the Annual Event is all about.

Not just learning… but laughing, connecting, and building something that actually lasts. There’s no better place to work on your culture than right here.
