This reflective conversation draws on Cecile Shellman’s Inward, Outward, Upward, Onward (specifically these pages) to help us examine the relationship between our identities and our professional practice. Together, we’ll explore questions about compassion, representation, and how museum environments can support more inclusive and empathetic interactions. You do not need to have read the book to participate.

Join the staff of the Alf Engen Ski Museum for a special tour offering an insider's look at the rigorous process behind the prestigious Will and Jean Pickett Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame. With the annual induction ceremony just three weeks away in late August, attendees will see the final, high-stakes preparations firsthand, including the curatorial challenges of integrating new honorees into the permanent exhibit, the logistics of coordinating a major event, and the public relations strategy for announcing and celebrating the contributions of the latest class of ski legends from the Intermountain West, providing valuable takeaways for managing complex institutional programs. Following the tour, continue to network with your colleagues at an optional pay-your-own-way dinner at Billy Blanco's (8208 Gorgoza Pines Rd, Park City, UT 84098).
