The Goal of AMS is to Rescue, Provide Sanctuary, and ultimately Re-home stray and abandoned
animals. OUR ADOPTION PROCEDURE

AMS works in conjunction with The Humane Society of Utah, Local and State-wide Anim

al Shelters, various animal groups, and also with individuals in an attempt to provide rescue for homeless animals. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, health, or animal breed. Once an animal is in our rescue, it is examined, vaccinated, altered if need be, and appropriately
medicated. Our final step is to place these animals into carefully screened forever homes. We attempt to ensure no loving dog or cat is unjustly euthanized. THE ADOPTION PROCESS

We want to ensure our rescue animals are placed in an environment appropriate to their needs. Therefore, we reserve the right to screen prospective adoptive owners. We also reserve the right to at any time terminate the adoption. To effect this adoption procedure, we place animals based on age, health-condition, and temperament as well as environment, family style, and long-term expectations of the prospective adoptive family. We have only the best interest of both our rescue animals and the prospective family at heart. We attempt to avoid misplacements, and appreciate your understanding and compliance in the adoption process. We also, and most importantly, ask that our adoption applicants agree to return any adopted animal
to AMS should life-problems and situations arise affecting the appropriate and care and/or any health issue of the adopted animal.

Salt Lake County Animal Services Mr. Dickens is estimated to be about 9 yrs old but this neutered big boy weighs in at 88 lbs! He is s strong willed and yet a stubborn older boy. His age and rounded belly is clear evidence that he was a beloved family member for a great portion of his life so we know he has this instinctual need to feel loved in him. He needs to be rescued, Fostered or Adopted quickly.

Salt Lake County Animal Services 9 month old Sedona is a sweetheart that needs a dedicated handler that can teach him proper manners and help him burn off his energy in a healthy way. Our behaviorists are trying their best to help him through these but the shelter environment is not making his lessons in puppy school easy.
