While we were out exploring we found a really cool old home built inside a rock. I’ve heard it called the “Rock House”, “Chocolate Chip House”, “Hobbit House” and other various names. I’m not sure if it has an official name or not but we call it the Rock House. I’ve been told it’s over 100 years old, it’s made it through several forest fires as well. If walls could talk I’d like to hear the stories these could give.

BLACK FRIDAY is almost here!
We know a lot of you are gearing up for upgrades this winter, and this is always the best time of year to snag some killer deals.

Vendors, shops, and dealers — if you’re running any Black Friday specials, drop them right here in the comments and make a separate post in the group so members don’t miss them. Whether it’s wheels, shocks, seats, cages, stereos, lighting, tires, tunes, or anything else our community loves… bring it on.

This thread will be a quick, easy spot for members to compare all the deals in one place.
Let’s see what everyone has lined up this year!

Help needed!! We are getting closer every day to reaching our goal of replacing the motorcycle that 12-year-old Pratt had stolen from his camp at Little Sahara Sand Dunes. The way this community continues to show up says everything about the heart of UTV Utah.

A huge thank-you to the incredible members who’ve stepped in with donations so far:

Jaime Foust Garfield
Darrell Burk
Brian Hoth
Steven Frecker
Alida Ruth Overson Martin

You’re making a real difference for this young rider and his family.

A special shout-out to Sahara Sunrise for their generous contribution. They’re a one-of-a-kind recreational subdivision just a few miles north of the dunes, offering unique camping-oriented lots for RVs, yurts, and other non-permanent setups. If you spend time at Little Sahara, give them a look—and be sure to mention UTV Utah. More details at: http://www.mountainluxury.com/sahara-sunrise-eureka-ut/

We also want to highlight R1 Industries, who jumped in immediately to help. For the next week, they’re donating 50% of all shock rebuilds to this fundraiser for Pratt for any UTV Utah member. If your shocks need attention, give them a call at 801-899-2520, mention UTV Utah, and they’ll take great care of you while supporting a young rider who deserves a win.

Our friends at CrawlCo have joined our fundraiser to help us buy 12yr old Pratt a replacement motorcycle. If you have a KRX and you are looking for a better storage solution, Crawl Co. will donate $100 to this cause for every unit sold in Northern Utah. They will deliver and install for FREE as well. They are an Utah based company and want to help. Go to crawlcompany.com and use code: HELP100
and select local pick up. Support those that support you!

Every bit of help gets us closer to showing Pratt just how strong this community is. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, now’s the perfect time to be part of something meaningful.

All hands on deck! We need everyone () to act on this asap! I get asked all the time, “What can we do to help?” Here’s your answer! You have an opportunity to help re-open trails in the Moab area. Do not sleep on this and think “this is a big group, I’m sure they’ll get lots of emails, my opinion doesn’t matter.”

Our good friends at BlueRibbon Coalition have done an amazing job of making this process easy. They’ve done a great job representing our community and fighting for access. Please help by doing your part.

Comments are accepted through October 24, 2025. Effective comments will be customized to include the following information:

They highlight the value of specific routes and your personal experiences with those routes – especially for closed trails that are not on the list to be reassessed.

They identify additional ways that BLM can mitigate environmental impacts other than closure.

They identify additional ways to minimize user conflict without excluding other users.

They identify and quantify economic benefits of our recreation use.

It has never been more important to add your voice to this process. We are confident that the anti-access groups will do everything they can to oppose the Grand Reopening of our trails, so we need to spread this far and wide.

Pleasr share this post.

After BRC's years-long challenge of the 2023 Moab trail closures, the BLM has released a proposal to reopen trails. We need everyone to sign this action alert & share it! It's taken us years to get here, so, let's not miss this critical opportunity to Save Moab.
