Meet the students and instructors in the Honors Praxis Lab Overworked, Underpaid, and Burned Out: How Work Sustains Health Inequities. Students spent the fall semester of this year-long course studying work as a social concern that influences the health and wellbeing of both individuals and populations, in preparation for beginning their community-based projects this spring.
This Praxis Lab’s tight-knit cohort brings together a community of students from two different colleges. Overworked, Underpaid, and Burned Out is led by Emily Ahonen, PhD, MPH, and Camie Shaefer, PhD, who are also directors at the Utah Center for Promotion of Work and Employment Research (U-POWER).
Overworked, Underpaid, and Burned Out will be presenting the culmination of their hard work at the Honors Student Showcase! To learn more about the students’ findings firsthand, attend the Honors Student Showcase on Wednesday, April 15, from 4-7 PM at Kahlert Village.
