Utah Commission on LGBTQ Suicide Prevention

Utah Commission on LGBTQ Suicide Prevention Generates an annual report on LGBT related su***de attempts and deaths in Utah, universally referenced by government, civic, and religious organizations.

The Utah Commission on LGBT Su***de Awareness and Prevention coordinates the collection of all forms of media that might substantiate claims that 1) a su***de attempt or death has occurred, and 2) was that of an LGBT person in Utah. The main purpose of the Commission is to generate an annual report on LGBT related su***de rates in Utah that is universally referenced by government, civic, and relig

ious organizations as a reliable source of information and insight for understanding the data and mitigating factors behind the LGBT related su***des. The Commission has the immediate need for individuals who are highly motivated, can work discreetly and collaboratively in collecting the needed information and data. Information collected by the Commission will NOT be shared publicly or privately in any forum until the annual report is collated and distributed. (The Commission will also release a report on LDS LGBT related su***de rates that will hopefully encompass the rates in the United States.) Anyone with an internet connection can participate since most of the kinds of data, records, and information that are needed are available online. You do not need to live in Utah. You just need to be willing and bale to collate the information into one place for analysis. To do that, there is a Facebook group where the collaboration and collection take place. The Commission itself is housed under the Utah Pride Center umbrella.
