KUTV 2 news recently featured a story on Intermountain Research and Medical Foundation funded research.

This ongoing research may point the way to predicting an imminent heart attack, allowing clinicians to prevent the heart attack from happening. The Foundation provided funding for this project, as well as helped establish the DNA laboratory and storage freezers shown in the video. Check it out!

Dr. Scott Stevens was recently selected to participate in a panel to help develop new guidelines used by physicians worldwide for the diagnosis and treatment of blood-clotting disorders. The Intermountain Research & Medical Foundation has funded several of Dr. Stevens’ projects looking at the most effective ways to diagnose clotting.
