💖💖 ADOPTED!! 💖💖

Dwayne at North Utah Valley Animal Shelter has been waiting for someone to choose him 💛

Estimated to be between 6–10 years old, Dwayne is such a handsome older guy with plenty of personality left to share. While so many people pass by the senior dogs, Dwayne is hoping he will be chosen.

Even at his age, Dwayne loves to explore, check things out, and enjoy little moments of fun, but he also tires quickly and is more than happy to settle in for a good nap and some well-earned rest.

Dwayne would love a home that appreciates a dog who still has some spark and silliness, while also understanding that he’s in his more laid-back era and deserves a soft place to land.

If you have any questions on how Dwayne is with other dogs or kids, please contact North Utah Valley Animal Shelter directly at (801) 785-3442.

NUVAS is open Monday–Friday from 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM and is located at 193 North 2000 West, Lindon, Utah 84042.

Zoey is a super loving 4-6 year old female yellow Labrador looking for a home through The Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation 💛

Zoey’s favorite place in the world is wherever you are. She wants to be your shadow, your sidekick, your constant companion. She loves bones, toys, and balls, and while she’s not exactly a fetch champion, she’ll happily bring you her ball to keep the game going.

Zoey truly doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. If a cat runs, she might chase out of excitement, but if they stand their ground? She couldn’t be less concerned. She does great with other dogs and even enjoys going to doggie daycare.

At 94 pounds, Zoey is currently overweight and would benefit from a healthy diet and regular exercise to help her feel her best. Because of her size and enthusiastic personality, she’d do best in a home without small children, not because she’s anything but sweet, but because when she gets excited, she can accidentally knock little ones over.

Zoey will need continued training, especially with recall and leash skills. If given the opportunity, she may take herself on an adventure, so a secure yard and consistent guidance will be important. She’s perfectly potty trained and doesn’t bolt through open doors. While she was kenneled initially in foster care, she quickly proved she could be trusted when left out.

Zoey is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Interested in adopting Zoey? Please complete an application at uaaf.org/adopt.

** UPDATE - ADOPTED!! 😄 **

Bowie is a stunner! 😍 Available for adoption at the Brigham City Animal Shelter. Please reach out to them directly with any questions you may have. 🐾

ADOPTED!
Meet Bowie 🖤🐶

Hi! I’m Bowie, a 1-year-old purebred Black Lab, and I’ve very quickly become popular here at the shelter — the volunteers absolutely love me 💕.

I was surrendered due to some life changes in my previous home, and now I’m ready for a fresh start with a family who has time and energy for a young lab like me 🌟.

Here’s what you should know about me:
🐾 Male, neutered
💉 Current on Rabies vaccine
🏡 Potty trained and crate trained
⚠️ Currently marks indoors — neutering, routine, and consistency should help
⚠️ Also no chickens or birds for me! Unless you are a hunter of course!
👧👦 Good with kids (has lived with children ages 3–6)
🐶 Good with other dogs
🧠 Knows several basic commands
💞 Very sweet, affectionate, and eager to please

I’m still young and learning, so I’ll do best in a home that can provide structure, training, exercise, and patience — classic lab stuff! With guidance, I’m going to be an amazing family companion 🐕🖤.

✨ Adoption Fee: $190 ✨

If you’re looking for a friendly, lovable lab who’s already stealing hearts, I might be your guy 🐾💛

Cory has been waiting for so long to be someone’s dog. After being rescued from a local shelter, he’s spent more than 350 days in foster care with CAWS.

At 8 years old, this 65-pound Lab mix is the definition of a well-mannered companion. He’s fully house-trained, sleeps quietly in his crate at night, and spends his days relaxing in his favorite spots or gently leaning in for affection and his famous butt scratches. Inside the home, Cory is calm and respectful — he rarely barks (unless a squeaky toy or squirrel demands commentary) and greets visitors with easygoing tail wags and polite manners.

Cory is smart and eager to engage. He knows his basics — sit, stay, come, watch me, leave it, wait — and even waits patiently at mealtime until given the go-ahead. He’s a happy medium-energy guy who enjoys fetch, squeaky toys, hikes, and splashing around in the river. He’s even been practicing paddle boarding! After getting his exercise and mental enrichment, Cory is perfectly content to settle in and relax for the rest of the day.

Cory would do best as the only dog in the home. He’s not a match for cats and can be selective with other dogs, but he absolutely adores people — especially kids. Because he plays enthusiastically and can be protective of special toys, he’ll thrive in a home with older children who understand and respect dog boundaries.

Cory has so much love to give and is ready for a family who will finally choose him. If you think Cory could be the right fit for your home, please apply to adopt at http://caws.org/adoption-application
