In this article, I examine the recent spate of violent acts perpetrated by individuals identifying as transgender, particularly those targeting children, as a stark indicator of the dangers posed by pro-LGBT ideological biases within public health agencies. Drawing from logical and natural law principles, I argue that state bans on reparative therapy misrepresent this therapeutic field, criminalizing effective, client-centered approaches pioneered by organizations like the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) and its successor organization the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity (ATCSI).

These bans, by denying the possibility of change and alignment with one's physiological reality, may inadvertently contribute to unaddressed distress, as evidenced by tragic events that might have been mitigated through accessible help. I highlight the irony in progressive ideologies that deem sexual orientation immutable while asserting gender as fluid, and conclude that, from a first-principles perspective, policies affirming therapeutic choice are essential for individual and societal well-being—principles that gain even greater weight if a purposeful Creator undergirds our existence.
