Frances Marie Maldonado, 95, passed away on August 14th 2026 in Murray, Utah, of causes incident to age. She was born on March 23rd 1931 in Salt Lake City, to Theresa Bruno and Alexander Masock. She was married to Dan E. Maldonado in 1948, and remained married until his passing.
She was a lifelong Utah resident. She graduated from West High school where her friend Heen introduced her to her future husband Dan. Frances had a happy marriage and very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She retired from First Security Bank after 20 years of service, and then devoted time to grandchildren and volunteer activities. In particular, she spent a great deal of time volunteering in elementary classrooms.
Frances is survived by Val (Gerald) Marty, Dan, Mark (Brenda), sister Jimaleen (Lane) Jansma, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her spouse Dan E., brothers, Alex, Paul, John, sisters Joanne, Charlotte, daughter Chris, Son-in-law Michael, Daughter-in-law Donna, grandson David, and now the best of us, son Mark.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, SLC, Ut at 11am on Friday August 28th. A visitation will be held from 10-11am before mass. A funeral luncheon will follow.
