Hydration is not the solution to a neurological disease.

When someone says, “Just drink more water,” it minimizes the reality of living with migraine and dismisses the challenges we face every day.

If water cured migraine, none of us would still be suffering.

Migraine can steal so much from a person.

It can take childhoods, careers, friendships, family time, milestones, and, tragically, in some cases, lives. 💔

For children, it can mean missing school, sports, birthday parties, sleepovers, and simply getting to be a kid.

For adults, it can mean missed work, canceled plans, isolation, and trying to smile through pain that no one else can see.

Migraine is not “just a headache.” It is a debilitating neurological disease that affects every part of a person’s life. Yet millions of people still face disbelief, stigma, delayed diagnosis, and barriers to care.

Danielle knew that reality. ❤️‍🩹

This Migraine & Headache Awareness Month, we remember Danielle and honor every child, teen, and adult living with migraine. As we mark the ✨10th anniversary✨ of the Danielle Byron Henry Migraine Foundation, we remain committed to turning heartbreak into hope through education, advocacy, free migraine programs, and support for families.

Because every person living with migraine deserves to be seen, believed, supported, and never feel alone. 💜

40 million Americans fight to be present for their families, jobs, education, and lives while living with a disease that remains dramatically underfunded.

Migraine isn’t rare. And it isn’t just a headache. During Migraine & Headache Awareness Month, we’re asking for more than awareness. We’re asking to be taken seriously. Because behind every statistic is a person who deserves better.

Part IV in our Migraine Isn't Just a Headache Series during the Migraine and Headache Awareness Month!

Sometimes the hardest part of migraine isn’t even the symptoms. It’s the feeling that nobody truly understands how much it affects your life. Migraine can feel incredibly isolating, especially when you’re trying so hard to look “normal” while carrying something so heavy every single day.

So during Migraine Awareness Month, we just want to say this clearly: you are not alone. There are millions of people who understand this kind of exhaustion, unpredictability, and invisible pain.

How are you really doing lately? And what has been helping you cope recently? 💜

Sometimes hearing from each other helps more than people realize.

Part III of the Migraine Isn't Just a Headache series!

Living with migraine can feel lonely. So many people with migraine spend years feeling misunderstood because people only see the moments when they’re functioning, not the energy it takes to keep functioning at all.

This Migraine Awareness Month, we want people living with migraine to know: we see you. Your symptoms are real. Your struggles are real. And you are not weak for being affected by a neurological disease.

SHARE this post to help more people feel understood. 💜

Migraine is so much more than head pain, yet so many people go undiagnosed for years because they don’t realize these symptoms can all be connected.

Some migraine attacks don’t even include head pain at all.

Migraine is a neurological disease that can affect the entire body.

SAVE this post for later and SHARE it to raise migraine awareness on this Migraine and Headache Awareness Month.

If people could feel a migraine attack for just one hour, the phrase “it’s just a headache” would disappear overnight.

Migraine can affect every part of a person’s life in ways most people never see.

And the hardest part? Many people living with migraine still don’t feel believed or understood because they “look fine.”

This Migraine Awareness Month, let's stop fighting this battle quietly. Let's shine light on migraine. SHARE! 💜
