From the moment our universe came into being, Nature's principles have been hard at work — shaping, guiding, and unfolding the cosmos. These principles form the very fabric of life, weaving their way into the deepest recesses of our lives. They are hidden in plain sight, not because they are concealed, but because the condition of our minds keeps us from seeing what has always been before us.

These principles are not doctrines created by humankind, but observations of Nature itself. The ancients made note of them for they recognized their influence and profound significance. Once you begin to pay attention, you will see them at work everywhere. At any given moment, day or night, you can pause and observe them — not only in the world around you, but within yourself.

Nature continuously re-introduces these principles to humankind, and once again, cosmic forces remind us of what has always been there.

The Principles of knowing Creation are seven; those who know these possess the Magic Key to whose touch all locked doors open to Creation.

If spiritual progression is the recognition, realization, and manifestation of the Spirit within, then how does one actually begin?

The answer begins with something every person already possesses: Attention.

Where your attention goes, your mental energy follows. Whatever repeatedly occupies your thoughts becomes part of your world. Most people allow their attention to be pulled from one distraction to another, never realizing that attention is the greatest treasure they possess.

Take a few moments today and simply observe your own mind. What occupies it? Worry? Fear? Anger? Ambition? Entertainment? Gratitude? Love? Purpose?

Without judgment, simply observe. By doing so, you begin to recognize that there is an awareness within you that is capable of observing your thoughts rather than being controlled by them.

Summum teaches that by directing your ATTENTION to the indwelling Spirit and storing potential within that Spirit, you empower yourself with the essence of SUMMUM. As your treasure of kinetic mental action is converted into spiritual potential, your consciousness is transformed.

Genuine religion, then, is not a system of beliefs. It is a practical process. It is something that is lived, practiced, and experienced.

The journey begins with a simple question:

Where is your attention right now?

Summum is a spiritual organization and a religion. But what do those terms mean? The words "spiritual" and "religion" often mean different things to different people.

In the Summum philosophy, all things are created and exist within the Infinite Mind of SUMMUM. With all created things, the Creator is immanent within its creations. When you form a mental image within your own mind, your mental energy is the essence of that image — you are immanent within your own mental creation. If we apply the Principle of Correspondence, "As below, so above."

"In the degree that humans realize the existence of the indwelling spirit immanent within their being, by directing their ATTENTION to the spirit within and storing potential within that spirit, they empower themselves with the essence of SUMMUM. As they convert their treasure of kinetic mental action to spiritual potential, so will they progress in the spiritual levels of life. This is what spiritual progression means — the recognition, realization, and manifestation of the spirit within you. Regarding this last definition, that of spiritual progression, it contains the veracity of genuine religion."
